2019ANNUAL REPORT

We embarked on the most ambitious project in the Library’s history. In November, the Main Library closed for a transformational renovation and expansion project.

80 employees, 383,000 books, and about a million legos packed up and found new homes at 10 branches across the library system, including our temporary homebase at Keller Park.

In September, we launched the Adult Access Card. This card makes it easier for adults to use the library and breaks down barriers.

285 Adult Access Cards were made by the end of 2019

1000 Books helps prepare kids for the formal learning that takes place in kindergarten. Gavin Smith, the first child to read 1000 Books: "I want to become a librarian and a viking."

19 Bookworms completed the program and 75,657 books were read.
