This thermometer has a special coloured liquid inside a glass tube. The level of the liquid tells you what the temperature is.

What temperature does this thermometer show?

If the liquid goes down to ‘0’ it is freezing and water will turn to ice.If it goes up to ‘100’ it will make water boil. When water boils it turns to steam and steam is very hot!
