Connect / Make a Difference

Starting PointStarting Point is a new version of our Christianity 101–401 series. Taught by Dr. Steve Crane and other pastoral staff, it is being offered on four consecutive Saturday evenings at 6 pm and Sunday mornings at 9 am in W29. Session 3 is this weekend. If you are new to the church or have never attended 101–401, this series is for you. Come learn about who we are, what we believe, and how to get connected at Eagle Christian Church through serving and small groups.

Promotion SundayStudents will be promoted from their current grade into their new grade starting June 1 and 2. This is intended to provide students with the best opportunity to assimilate to their new group, build relationships with leaders, and feel confident about jumping into the next stage of life. ECC West Valley Night of PrayerOn Friday, May 31, at 6:30 pm, the ECC West Valley Team, led by Dan Starks, will have a night of prayer at Vision Charter School, 19291 Ward Rd, Caldwell, the location of our new West Valley Campus coming this fall. New Small GroupThe Art of Marriage is the topic of a new small group that will meet in Eagle at 7 pm on Wednesdays. Stop at Connection Corner in the lobby for information or to sign up.

Friday Men’s StudyThe Friday morning men’s Bible study led by Steve Crane will be starting a study of The Beatitudes, 6 am at the Sunrise Family Restaurant at the corner of Glenwood and State. Men are invited to attend!

Vacation Bible SchoolVBS Family Experience (FX) is June 16 at 6:30 pm. (This will equip your family and introduce you to your small group leaders.) June 17–20 (Monday–Thursday) 9 am–noon. VBS DonationsVacation Bible School is life changing here at Eagle Christian Church, and would not be possible without the support of our church family. Men’s Ministry NewsMay 19: We are studying Authentic Manhood, the 33 Series, which gives men a vision for manhood as modeled by Jesus in his 33 years on earth. Four guest speakers will be sharing A Man and His Story: #2—Dad, 7 am in the Chapel.

CIY MixMiddle School Summer Camp is coming up August 7–11! We are headed to a new camp called CIY Mix this summer in Ellensburg, WA. There is not a better middle school experience in the North-west. We are certain that this will be the best week of your student’s summer and it’s open to all incoming 6–8 graders. Hear the Cry Missions, May 2019 Boise Bible College

BBC Graduation—Congratulations to our graduates—Gabe Hetherington, Kaylee Voorhees, Megan York, Austin Jones, Mary Jones, and Joshua Anderson. Pray for his kingdom servants and his will in their lives.

BBC Work Days—May 20–25 will be a week of painting, repairing, and cleanup on the BBC campus. The Gray Crew (a volunteer group of retirees) is on campus this month and can always use extra servant partnerships or small groups that want to serve the Bible college. CIY MoveCIY Move is our high school summer camp and it is filling up quickly! This trip is July 29-August 3 in Corvallis, OR, and the cost is $350. Your student will not want to miss a week of wor-ship, teaching, friendship, the beach, and much more.
