We have taken the feedback from prior years reporting and have implemented the majority of the suggestions as we continuously improve on this process. The ultimate goal is to challenge each other in every facet of our business. Numbers drive improvement! ALL boats rise to high tide! Our kickoff will be April 6. At this time we will walk through the reporting process. Some of the highlighted improvements and changes will be shown: • Centralized database software developed specifically for our Organization. • Comparison Categories minimized to aid in Confidentiality. ) i.e. Your company info will only be visible to you. You will be compared to Reporting Averages, $1M-$5M Revenue Companies , $5M-$10M, $15M-$20M, and $20M and greater. • Featuring breakout categories to accommodate various business reporting styles and improve on apples to apples comparisons. • Data storage for future reporting analytics. • Ability to be setup for future dash-boarding. • Ability to download report for your own Company use. At Coverings on May 9 we will revisit the report and answer questions to then give the ability to edit your entries for better data. Please make arrangements to be at this must attend event! This year’s show had over 150,000 attendees, so Karen’s presentation was to a standing room only audience. Her topic on “Creating a Positive Customer Experience to Increase Sales” was so well received that she was followed out of the room by attendees still asking questions. Karen was impressed by the fact that many of the people she On March 22 the Natural Stone Institute & Stone World magazine teamed up for the Florida Stone Summit hosted at MS International in Deerfield Beach, FL. Founding Rockhead member Eric Tryon, President & CEO of Clio Holdings, facilitated the Industry Education portion of the Summit, which had 60 attendees. Chemical Concepts is a company that has been in the countertop fabrication and kitchen remodeling business for over 50 years. We are featuring several new products including our new Stone Tac Activator, 6600 Rodmaster Quick-Set Rodding Adhesive, 650UC Ultra Clear Epoxy, and the Counterplate Plus 12” bracket. Chem-Set ™ Rodmaster 6600 Quick-Set & 6606 Medium- Set rodding compound is a toughened structural acrylic adhesive which sets up in 5-10 minutes and offers 5x the structural strength compared to polyester adhesives. The convenient side-by-side cartridge is much faster to apply than traditional epoxies, saving time and labor, while providing superior protection for delicate surfaces. BACA SYSTEMS spoke with have very little production equipment in their shops. They believe that the personal touch of hand fabrication improves the final product and creates a happier customer. She noted that maybe there is a lesson for us to learn in the USA with that philosophy. Technology can be great for pushing out lots of square-footage, but don’t forget that the relationship makes the sales process about the customer and not the transaction. We asked her if she has any advice for Rockheads attending the Stone Fair in the future, “If you’re not an adventurous eater, bring plenty of protein bars”.
