Was the amouni of soil disposed actually 150 cyd? No. This was my mistake and was likely a carryover from previous closure report. Only soil removed from the site would be drums of soil cultings which would never have added up to 150 cubic yards.
Did this include the soil pile on the south side of the building? Was that soil pile contaminated? This has been a little tough to figure out since the main player In this project is no longer here. However, it does appear that the original USTs were removed from the south side of the building and those results were Included In the June 2004 update report Those soil sample analytical results were essentially clean.
When the new (current) UST was installed out front of the building along Hwy 13, an excavation was conducted in order to install the new UST. Excavation sidewall samples were collected on January 5, 1999. I can prepare a table and add these results. The soil excavated from this location Is the soil that was stockpiled and currently remains on site. This new UST was Installed In January, 1999 and can be evidenced by the UST Installation date of 1 /21/99 on the tanl<s database. This also coincides wllh the samples collected on Januaiy 5, 1999 from the excavation. I did look back through the entire file of project analytical and see that there was a stockpile sample collecled on October 26, 2000. I found a fax conflrmabon sheet from when the laboralory analytical samples were faxed to you on July 8, 2006 along wilh the tank removal samples were also sent. I never previously kr1ew about this stockpile sample. The stockpile did have petroleum contamination from the sample collected In October, 2000. I have scanned and attached the laboratory reports for 1he stockpile sample. I have also scanned and attached confirmation samples collected from the excavation conducted for the Installation of the ' new· UST.
Tank samples on in your reports however the site maps do not show where they were collected. Am I correct in assuming the 4 tank samples collected in October 1999 were from the tank location south of the building? Yes, these were from the tank location soulh of Iha bulldlng and they were essentially clean. I went through the file and found a fax confirmation sheet from when the laboratory analytical samples were faxed to you They were also Included In the site update report from June, 2004 However, I see that we identified the samples In a table, but never showed them on a figure. I should have Included them in the closure report
I don't have a copy of the tank upgrade samples from 1998. Please send me those results and where those samples were collected. See above response.
In your soil tables 1,2,4-TMB is listed twice. I see what you describe in Table 1a. Upon further investigation I see t11at the 2nd listing of 1,2,4 Trimethylbenzene 1s correct for the actual analytical results for this compound The first listing In the table should be 1,2,4 Trichlorobenzene. I went back and checked wilh the analytical report with the table Therefore. even though it is labeled as such, the 1,2,4 Trimethylbenzene analytical results really are not stated twice as the first listing is 1.2,4 T richtorobenzene .
Did you ever send an electronic GIS packet? You mention it in your letter hOWever we don't have it My mistake. I never did send this to you. I can scan and send over to you if you need prior to noon tomorrow However, seeing what you have discovered and asked me to IOok into, probably have to update tables and possibly !iQures.
I realize that some of the stated analytical Information should be added to summary analytical tables and included In the closure report request I can do so, but hoping this will answer your immediate questions and at least be enough Information for you lo proceed with taking to closure committee. Let me know how you wish lo proceed.

Good Afternoon Ken,
I left you a voice-mail but decided to send you my questions from my closure review. Please take a look at these. Thanks.
VVas the amount of soil disposed actually 150 cyd? Did this include the soil pile on the south side of the building? VVas that soil pile contaminated?
Tank samples on in your reports however the site maps do not show where they were collected. Arn I correct in assuming the 4 tank samples collected in October 1999 were from the tank locati.on south of the building?
I don't have a copy of the tank upgrade samples from 1998. Please si;ind me those results and where those samples were collected.
In your soil tables 1,2,4-TMB is listed twice,
Did you ever send an electronic GIS pacKet? You mention it in your letter however we don't have it.
