    In 2012, State Superintendent

    Tom Torlakson lifted state

    control after the District paid

    off

    its state loan

    si

    x years

    early. Payments

    to the

    state

    were scheduled to go until

    2018,

    but

    WCCUSD was ab le

    to

    save funds to pay

    off the

    loan sooner than expected.

    For the last 10 years,

    our
