What is a verb?
A verb is an
action word.
A verb is an action word or a state of being ... but for now, let’s just think about
a verb as an action word!
The fox smiles. “Smiles” is the verb that describes the action of the fox.
The bear climbs. “Climbs” is the verb that describes the action of the bear.
The duck floats. “Floats” is the verb that describes the action of the duck.
The river flows. “Flows” is the verb that describes the action of the river.
The clouds drift. “Drift” is the verb that describes the action of the clouds.
The cow thinks. “Thinks” is the verbthat describes the action of the cow.
The bird sits. “Sits” is the verbthat describes the action of the bird.
