The iWATERMAN products represent over 100 combined years of ocean rescue, paddling

experience and competitive surfing all being infused on the drawing board by the

company’s founders. Utilizing C4’s proprietary state-of-the-art inflatable construction,

international water safety experts Brian Keaulana and Archie Kalepa have refined and

perfected these new rescue tools in the rough and unforgiving waters of the

Hawaiian Islands, drawing on their decades of devising, practicing, and

teaching their revolutionary ocean rescue techniques to scores of government ,

mi l i tar y, and pr ivate organizat ions around the wor ld.

Brian Keaulana and Archie Kalepa have always been visionaries, whether pioneering jet

ski ocean rescues, big-wave tow-in surfing, or stand-up paddle surfing and racing. Now,

All C4 iWATERMAN products are fabricated from heavy-duty, military-grade, double-wall pvC material. Inside each product, thousands of high-tech fiber ‘cilia’ anchor the deck to bottom, allowing for superior rigidity and locking in C4’s proprietary rockers------features that grant the iREsCUE board never before seen durability and the closest thing to hard board performance of any inflatable surfcraft. And unlike the other brands that use only glue on their seams, the iWATERMAN products are finely stitched with 30% additional thicker, high-tensile fiber thread, making them much tougher, stiffer, and able to withstand a higher psI (pounds per square inch) of inflation, ranging from 14 -18 psI. The result: A rough-and-ready surf/paddle/rescue tool that is pliant enough to bounce off rocks, yet still deliver hard product performance and reliability.

Faster through the water than hardboards due to propietary dimpled skin. The outline and the rocker are carefully calibrated to work in harmony with the board’s flex pattern to create a sort of cantilever drive delivered with each stroke and down-weight phase of paddling. This means the board is energized as you paddle, and pops out of tight spots in the rapids or on the wave.

It has been 20 years since C4 co-founder and Hawaiian ocean rescue pioneer Brian Keaulana began using jet skis with an attached sled to extract victims from dangerous seas in Hawaii, transforming forever not only the very nature of water rescue, but also how expert surfers track and catch the biggest waves on the planet. C4 Waterman’s Brian Keaulana spends much of his working year afloat on film sets around the world. As a stunt coordinator, second unit director, and member of the stunts Unlimited guild of elite stuntmen, Brian understands how important comfort, safety, and reliability are when hundreds of thousand of dollars are on the line and the working environment is swaying and slippery like a crazy carnival ride. If only he had a lightweight, portable dock that was as soft as it was durable! so, after spending a week riding whitewater river rapids on a C4 isUp, he had a brainstorm and came up with the idea for the iMAT------a one-of-a-kind water platform with so many uses.
