The Water Safety Code

• S - STOP, look around and listen to see exactly what

has happened.

• T - THINK ‘Safety’ and decide where the dangers are.

• A - ASSESS the incident and decide what is important

e.g. serious injuries, unsafe location.

• C - CALL 999 try and stay calm until the emergency services arrive.

• I know the water safety code.

• I know what to do in an emergency situation.

• I can identify at least 2 hazards near rivers.
