WATER HEATER, BOILER, & STORAGE TANK PACKAGES BY BRADFORD WHITE ITF GRANT ITEMS The ITF has partnered with the Bradford White Corporation to offer six distinctive Water Heater, Boiler, & Storage Tank Packages. The six separate Water Heater Packages are designed with training, installation, and service at the forefront. There are several prerequisites that a UA local union education fund must follow to apply for a Water Heater, Boiler, & Storage Tank Package from Bradford White as a grant. If a UA local training center is interested in purchasing a Water Heater, Boiler, & Storage Tank Training Package from Bradford White with or without the use of an ITF Grant, they MUST contact Chris Catania, Bradford White’s Business Development Manager – Plumbing and Mechanical Trades. The following steps must be followed for a UA local union education fund to be considered eligible for grant approval by the ITF Board of Trustees. STEPS TO APPLY… 1. Contact Chris Catania to set up a site visit with the Bradford White Corporation. A representative will visit your local union training center to evaluate your Water Heater, Boiler, & Storage Tank needs. Chris can be reached at [email protected] or (215) 837-5842. 2. After the site visit is complete, Bradford White will recommend the appropriate package size for the local training center’s need and complete a Site Visit Checklist. They will also contact the local union training center and the UA Education and Training Department with their recommendations and completed Site Visit Checklist. 3. Apply for the Bradford White Water Heater, Boiler, & Storage Tank Package from the ITF Grant Catalog. 4. If the ITF grant is approved, an ITF Administrator will authorize the shipment the local union’s Bradford White Water Heater, Boiler, & Storage Tank Package. 5. Once delivered, the local will have 90 days to install all units in the package. Pictures of the completed installation must be sent to Bradford White for approval. 6. After installation is confirmed, Bradford White will notify the local of dates for the “Train the Trainer” class at their manufacturing facility in Middleville, Michigan. The local will send an instructor to Middleville for a two-day training. The local union education fund will be responsible for transportation to the manufacturing facility. Lodging and meals will be provided by the Bradford White Corporation. 7. Following the “Train the Trainer” class, the local will schedule an in-house training with Bradford White. A Bradford White Trainer will come to your local union training center and help outline your Water Heater, Boiler, & Storage Tank training curriculum. 8. If ALL the previously outlined steps are not complete within SIX MONTHS of the Site Visit, the local union education fund will be responsible for the FULL cost of the Water Heater, Boiler, & Storage Tank Package.
