How to Take the TourThe Earth Works Water and Garden Showcase Tour is self guided and a free event. Begin anywhere you like! Tour hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cookout from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at our garden center

The tour consists of 11 stops each featuring an interesting water feature and garden. The homeowners have very kindly agreed to let us visit their properties. They only ask every precaution be taken to avoid damage to their landscaping. A Water and Garden Showcase sign will be outside each homeowner’s house. Do not knock on doors, please stay on walkways, and do not disturb their plants. There will be a master gardener staff member at each house to answer any questions you might have. As a courtesy to these homeowners, please observe tour hours.

Cameras and video are welcome. Don’t forget to join us from 4:30pm to 6pm back at the garden center to relax, cookout, eat, and ask questions. Please take the time to check the website, our facebook fan page, or call the garden center before you start the tour in case there are any last minute changes to the map.

The Hitchcock Residence: 449 Port Charlotte Dr, 32081 - NocateeThe two ponds 12’ x 20’ and 10’ x 10’ are up and running and will ultimately be inside a screen enclosure. This pond features a wading pool and in the middle of it all is a fire pit!

The Booker/Tabakian Residence: 1101 West Kesley, 32259 -Julington CreekThis pond is 15’ x 35’ and has a lot to see. Two things to check out are the bog garden and the awesome paver bridge leading to the patio.

The John Pierson Residence: 3853 Cardinal Oaks Cr, 32065 - ArgyleWow, look at that cypress log! The Piersons went big to enjoy a 30’x 50’ pond. Unique features include a stonegate wall inside the pond creating a perfect spot to feed their fish or get their feet wet. Stonegate wall seating and a fire pit are right off the water’s edge. The large scale of this pond creates an enticing backyard.

The Casler Residence: 8024 Sarcee Trail, 32244 - WestsideThe Casler’s pond is the perfect set up for their outdoor living space. Thereis a perfect view off their deck with the pond built right up to it. The main waterfall entering the pond is actually a beautiful piece of driftwood creating a unique and natural look.

The Martin Residence: 11726 Lake Bend, 32218 - NorthsideTalk about curb appeal! This pond tucked beautifully next to the front door is an awesome sight. What better invitation to come over and hang with the Martins than a koi pond by their door!

The Philips Residence: 1104 Holmesdale Rd, 32207 - San MarcoMr. and Mrs. Phillips let us have some fun with this one. In order to build their pond we actually had to take the top of the excavator off to fit under the drive way’s cover. It’s their perfect oasis to have friends and family over.

The Matheny Residence: 4571 Historical Trail Cove, 32225 - SouthsideThe Mathenys had been contemplating for years to have Earth Works come out and build them a beautiful water garden for their two turtles. This pond is nestled in their backyard which was previously unmanicured. Now it’s the most beautiful partof the yard!

The Watkins Residence: 4620 Swilcan Bridge Ln S 32224 - SouthsideIf you want to see the most amazing water garden in town this is the stop for you.We transformed their backyard which consisted of a natural pool and hot tub area into a relaxing and stress free one-of-a kind paradise.

The Peri Residence: 2245 Walkers Glen Lane, 32246 - SouthsideThis 8 X 10 pond is the newest on the tour; finished last Friday! It has a unique feature with its’ “fish-feeding rock”. You will want to hang out in this backyard oasis fora long time.

The Dufour Residence: 12009 Coachman Lakes Way, 32246 - SouthsideTheri designed her pond and did most of the work herself. Earth Works pitched in on the mechanical set up and some heavy lifting. She built this feature to attract the birds and other wildlife.

Earth Works Garden Center: 12501 Beach Blvd - 32246 - SouthsideFor those of you that don’t know Earth Works, it has five separate water features throughout the property. This is a great place to finish up your tour and take the chance to talk to “the pond guy”. Jason will be there all day.
