2010was as year full of new beginnings for Vastfontein.

We got a new soccer field!

BKS

Vastfontein

BKS Consulting Engineers gave us the gift of a soccer field

which they themselves kindly came to build. And, on 27

November, they came to inaugurate it!!

First National Bank donated a floating trophy as well as all the

kit such as sports gear and soccer balls.

Vastfontein’s soccer teams have won all three matches – thus

winning the floating trophy!

We built two new classrooms.

November

On 04 December the staff members of T-Systems came to paint both classrooms.

They also did some gardening and planted several trees.

Our Ministry has grown enormously. Fourteen new Care Groups have been formed and soon we’ll be training even more leaders because most of the Care Groups are already big enough to be divided! Our community is really becoming transformed into the likeness of Jesus!!

 In our first care home we have five children and the building of the second care home has been completed.

R80,000!!!

Another first in 2010

Some ladies got together and compiled a recipe book using their own recipes. They did

the typing and page layouts themselves. They even took most of the photos! This recipe

book was sold to raise funds for Vastfontein and the Mama Mary project.

Thank you Lord that in 2010, through You, we were able to serve our neighbour and could help transform our community:

We distributed more than

60,245 meals – most of which

at our school where our

learners get two meals a day; 

1,016 individuals were

converted; and

815 patients visited our clinics! 

This is unmerited favour

See, I set before you a wide open door which nobody will be able to shut.

In November I once again retreated to my sacred place under a tree in the veld where I humbled myself

before the Lord in order to plead with Him for Guidance and to hear what He desires for Vastfontein in

2011. He clearly led me to our focus verse for 2011: Revelation 3:8 in the Amplified Version:

See, I set before you a wide open door which nobody is able to shut.

I am very excited about God’s Word for Vastfontein in 2011! I know that many opportunities and open

doors are awaiting us. But the first word in our focus verse is the most important! Before you can pass

through an open door, you have to be able to SEE in the spiritual realm. And it will be extremely

important to distinguish between the true and false doors through which satan would like us to pass.

This is why I invite you once again to tread the future path with us and to pray

for the right doors and opportunities to open. Pray that we will have the Faith to walk

through the right doors.

The Lord – and no-one and nothing else – is the Head of Vastfontein! He has given us His Word for 2010 and He has been true to it.

It is unmerited favour alone!

If, during 2011, we submit to Him in humility, He will once again be true to His word for 2011.

For all these reasons, to God and God alone, we give all the acknowledgement, honour, praise and worship for what has taken place at Vastfonten in 2010 – and

what is still to happen in 2011!

To God be the Glory!
