Cooper was named Tampa Bay's eighth head coach on March 26, 2013.Cooper, 49, begins his fifth season as Lightning head coach and has amassed a 146-90-25 record entering 2016-17. Cooper's .607 winpercentage is the highest in franchise history. He earned NHL victory No. 100 on April 11, 2015, making him the fifth-fastest coach amongthose who debuted in the NHL since 2000 to reach the mark.
