Why do Artists Make ATC?

•This is a new art craze that is spreading around the country.

•People and Artists like to collect them. Think of it as a business card or a way to get your artwork seen.

•They are the same size as sports trading cards. You can trade the cards with other artists, at art conventions, online, or with your friends.

What do I put on an ATC?•ATC can be made out of anything. They

are considered to be MIXED MEDIA: meaning more than one medium. For example, paint and colored pencil or pastel and pencil.

Today you will create your own ATC using personal symbols.• We will be rotating tables so you get to

experiment with seven different art mediums. Rules:

1.You have 7 min at each table. ( I will tell you when to move)

2.You must stay with your assigned group.3.Your card must represent you!! 4.Draw one word, phrase or object on ATC

paper which represents you using the medium at your table.

5.You must use every medium at least once.6.You should have no background white left

on your card when finished.
