The New Jersey Supreme Court has upheld its 20 year old rule which rejects the U.S. Supreme Court's refusal to allow an increased fee to civil rights and consumer protection lawyers who work on contingent fee. Such lawyers - if they prevail - are entitled to enhanced fees to reflect the risk of loss they undertook.
