10. Teaching and Learning Methods:
Theoretical knowledge and understanding of management will be achieved through
class room lectures, faculty seminars, guest lectures, and student presentations and
also by directed study of appropriate journal based articles.
Subject-specific and practical skills will be developed through formal teaching.
Key research skills such as research design, statistical analysis and research ethics
will be learnt through research projects.
Intellectual skills will be practiced and demonstrated through the project viva voce
and student presentations at seminars.
Transferable skills, such as oral and written communication skills, will be developed
through students’ participation in various conferences, symposiums for oral
presentations, poster presentation of their research work and also report writing.

Three quizzes are conducted and the best two is considered for
evaluation,
One end semester examination of 3 hours duration
Assignments relating to material covered in lectures
Projects & critical analysis of their research. The project will
also assess the student's ability to research, critically evaluate
and summarise the topic.

Functional Specialization: Students will be offered 6 subjects from any of the
specializations (as above) and 2 subjects from any other specialization courses (as
above) in Semester-III (Total: 8 subjects) and Semester IV (Total: 7 subjects).
Students can opt for specialization in any two functional areas. Students are required
to study 8 subjects in any 2 areas of specialization; Six electives from either of the
following groups of specialization courses and two electives from either of the
remaining groups for another specialization course.
Sectoral Specialization: In addition to functional specialization, students are required
to take 2 subjects from any of the sectoral specializations mentioned above.
In Semester IV, apart from functional /sectoral courses, students are required to take 3
subjects of core papers and a project.

13. Admissions criteria:
Post graduate Programs:
Full Time Bachelor’s degree with minimum50% marks in aggregate.
The admission to MBA Courses will be confirmed only after the application is
approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Sultanate of Oman. They should submit
their original Bachelor’s Degree and Final Mark sheet along with photocopies for
approval from the Ministry of Higher Education.
Entrance examinations are conducted two times in a year. January February: for
admission to Foundation level 2 scheduled to commence from February June-August:
for admission to session commencing from the month of September.
Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria and desiring to take admission in
Foundation programs need not appear in the entrance test.
The details regarding test can be noted from our website.
Candidates with valid CBSE-AIEEE or equivalent engineering entrance examination
scores may be exempted from the entrance test for Bachelor level programs.
The students who have completed the requirements of the Foundation Programme
successfully at WCAS are exempted from entrance test.
Candidates with valid GMAT/CAT/MAT or equivalent scores may be exempted from
the entrance test for MBA courses.
