Message from the Principal How are you going after two weeks of school; teachers? Your holidays might not have been the routine of school, but our hope is that you spent some quality family time somewhere during the holidays, loving, learning about and living life together! Families are the first society that children become a part of - long before they integrate into any school, organisation or civic community. Christians believe it is the natural community that God gave us so that children could be educated first and foremost by their parents. That means that you, Mum and Dad, are so much more important than the teaching staff at this school in the education of your child (shh.. don’t tell the teachers)! Just think for a second about putting in even half of the time that a professional teacher places into their classroom work, into your child’s home education. That would mean for a lot of parents that you literally would have one and a half full time jobs. I guess that’s why sometimes mums feel that they are time poor and Dads need a rest on the couch after a busy day! There is so much responsibility raising children and this takes time! This term, we thank you in advance for the time and effort that you spend in the informal education of your child. By the same token, I ask you as a part of your responsibility as a parent to be involved with the school staff in the teaching partnership that is your child’s education. Thank you to those parents who already do! “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 Have a great term! Message from the Principal How are you going after two weeks of school; teachers?
Your holidays might not have been the routine of school,
but our hope is that you spent some quality family time
somewhere during the holidays, loving, learning about and
living life together!
Families are the first society that children become a part of
- long before they integrate into any school, organisation or civic
community. Christians believe it is the natural community that God gave us
so that children could be educated first and foremost by their parents. That means that you, Mum and Dad, are so much more important than the
teaching staff at this school in the education of your child (shh.. don’t tell the
teachers)!
Just think for a second about putting in even half of the time that a
professional teacher places into their classroom work, into your child’s home
education. That would mean for a lot of parents that you literally would
have one and a half full time jobs. I guess that’s why sometimes mums feel
that they are time poor and Dads need a rest on the couch after a busy
day! There is so much responsibility raising children and this takes time!
This term, we thank you in advance for the time and effort that you spend in
the informal education of your child. By the same token, I ask you as a part
of your responsibility as a parent to be involved with the school staff in the
teaching partnership that is your child’s education. Thank you to those
parents who already do!
