Cooper Carter was a resident of LHS for over 6 months before we
found him. We remember walking through the front dog's area
looking at all of the wonderful dogs needing homes and then
stopped at his kennel. All of the dogs were excited and barking;
however, Cooper saw us and quietly lay down and looked at us. At
that point we knew he was our li le guy. We visited with him and he
was such a gentleman; we decided to foster him at first to ensure he
would be a good fit for our 3 feline kids. Aer the first day, we knew
he wasn't going back! We've had Cooper for 4 ½ years and couldn't
imagine life without him. He brings us so much joy and puts smiles
on our faces every day. He is our sidekick and goes camping with us
in our travel trailer; although he isn't a fan of late fall and early
spring cooler weather camping. Fortunately the furnace in the RV
makes up for it! We are so thankful he found his way to LHS; another
shelter likely would not have cared for him so long or taken such
good care of him.
- Mike & Cindy Carter
LHS still needs your help…please bring your empty bagged aluminum cans to the shelter. You helped us
reach our 2018 goal of $2000! So far this year, we have reached $2,011.05, let's see if we can reach
$3000! Thank you!
