Independent Student Use
During the School Day Classes come in to work on
curriculum expectations and to learn information literacy skills
LIBRARY ETIQUETTE
No earbuds, hats, coats, food or bags Pencil cases and purses must be
smaller than a binder Be considerate of others Be doing something productive –
homework, research, reading, quiet group work
SIGNING OUT RESOURCES
All resources may be borrowed for 2 weeks
(reference books and current magazines never go out)
5 resources per person at a time
SIGNING OUT RESOURCES
Library privileges are suspended when materials are overdue
Please renew resources Computer accounts will be suspended for
students with outstanding materials at the end of the semester
ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
Computers are for learning We also have microphones, headphones,
tablets and other resources for your use.
PROCEDURES FOR USING COMPUTERS
Before and after school use computer sign-in binder at the circulation desk
At lunchtime you must sign in and out with the supervising teacher
COMPUTER USE
Library has 54 computers
We encourage you to bring your own devices as well
Computer use in the library is for learning
COMPUTER USE
During classes they are for completing the lesson expectations
You must always obey the School Computer Access and Safe Use policy as outlined in your agenda
RECOVERY OF PRINTING COSTS
Printing is 10 cents a page for black and white
Full colour page $1.00 a sideAll student printing in the school
is done in the libraryPhotocopying is 10 cents a page
