In pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is
pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam
Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Dwitiya Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2006 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya
16 of 2006) as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on May 23, 2006.
As per provision of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Dwitiya
Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2006 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 16 of 2006) as passed by the Uttar
Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on May 23, 2006. The Registrar, Sardar Vallabhbhai
Patel University of Agriculture & Technology Meerut would organise the Combined Entrance Examination-
2017 on rotation for admission in all the programmes of the four Agriculture universities.
NOTE: Only Uttar Pradesh State Domicile candidates are eligible for appearing in all courses except
MBA (Agri. Business) through Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test-2017.

Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad was established on October 10, 1975. The Uttar Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958 was amended in 1974 to establish this university.

The University:
Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur came into existence by an Act of Uttar Pradesh Legislature and was created vide Uttar Pradesh Shashan Krishi Anubhag-4, Notification No. 1086–XII–4, dated March 01, 1975 with merger of two constituent Colleges, the erstwhile Govt. Agriculture College, Kanpur and College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Mathura. However, the Veterinary College has been given an independent status of the Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry University at Mathura. The present status of the University was attained through various phases of growth of its constituent colleges.

The University: Banda University of Agriculture & Technology, Banda was estabilished on 02 March 2010 for the
development of the agriculture and allied sectors in the Bundelkhand Region comprising two divisions (Jhansi and Chitrakootdham) and seven districts (Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Chitrakoot, Jhansi, Lalitpur, and Jalaun).
Location: The main University campus covering 948 acres is located about 6 km outside the Banda city adjoining
60 meter wide Banda-Kanpur road on the Junction of bypass Road to Mahoba. The campus is 6 km away from the Railway Station and 5 km from Bus Stand of Banda. District of Banda is bounded in the north by district of Fatehpur, in the east by the district of Chitrakoot, in the west by district of Hamirpur and Mahoba and in the south by Satna, Panna, and Chhatarpur districts of adjoining state of Madhya Pradesh. 1. A candidate under General Category for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal
Husbandry (B.V.Sc.&A.H.) degree course shall have to qualify in each of the subjects of English,
Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects, at the
qualifying examination and admission of students to B.V.Sc.& A.H. degree course shall be made
only on the basis of his or her merit in the competitive entrance examination and no other merit or
weightage shall be considered for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal
Husbandry (B.V.Sc.&A.H.) degree course.
2. In respect of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes or other special
category of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required for admission
shall be 5% less than that prescribed for general category i.e 47.5 % and where the seats reserved for
the Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribes students in any State cannot be filled for want of
requisite number of candidates fulfilling the minimum requirement prescribed from that State, then
such vacancies shall be filled up on all India basis with students belonging to the Scheduled Castes
and Scheduled Tribes obtaining not less than the minimum prescribed pass percentage.
Note: -
1. The Concerned University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of seats in any
programme or to abolish the whole programme.
2. Ph.D.(Ag.)/Ph.D.(Home Scinece) fellowships are available in each discipline as per each University
rules up to a maximum period of three years subject to the availability of funds.

17. Mode of admission for M.B.A. (Agri-Business)
All candidates seeking admission to MBA (Agri-Business) will have to appear in the screening test comprising 100 multiple-choice questions. The test will be of two hours duration. Candidates qualifying in the entrance examination will be short-listed on the basis of merit. Short-listed candidates will be called to for Group Discussion and Personal Interview with Faculty / Admission Committee. The Group Discussion and Personal Interview shall carry 150 and 50 marks, respectively. A comprehensive merit list will be drawn for final selection of the candidates for admission.
18. PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED IN THE EXAMINATION HALL:
(i) Answer Sheet (OMR) will be given to the candidates 15 minutes before the commencement of theTest.
(ii) Immediately after receiving the OMR Answer Sheet, the candidate must fill in the required particulars in the answer sheet with Black Ball Point Pen. Utmost precaution should be taken while filling the required circles.

(iii) The Test will start at the time mentioned in the Admit Card and an announcement to this effect will be made by the Invigilator.
(iv) After completing the test and before handing over the Test Booklet and the Answer Sheet, the candidate should check again that all the particulars required in the Answer Sheet have been correctly written or filled up. Ensure that the Roll Number is correctly written in the Answer Sheet and the Answer Sheet is duly signed by the candidate at the appropriate place.
(v) An announcement will be made at the beginning of the examination and at the end of each hour. Announcement will also be made before the lapse of full time provided for the U.P. Combind Agriculture & Technology Entrance Test-2017 and the candidates must stop marking the responses.
ROUGH WORK:
The candidate will not be allowed to do any rough work or writing work on the answer sheet. All rough work is to be done in the Test Booklet itself.
CAUTION FOR REMOVAL OF PAGE(S) FROM TEST BOOKLET:
The candidate will check and ensure that the Test Booklet contains number of pages as mentioned on the top of the first page. The candidate shall not remove any page(s) from the Test Booklet and if any page(s) is/are found missing from his/her Test Booklet, he/she will be proceeded against and shall be liable for criminal action.

19. EVALUATION:
i. Three marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
ii. There will be negative marking and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
20. MINIMUM QUALIFYING MARKS:
The Cut-off percentage of marks in UPCATET-2017 is 20% for General & OBC and 10% for SC & ST category.
21. COUNSELLING:
1. The qualified candidates, as per merit, shall be called for counselling on a specified date and time for consideration to admission in various Undergraduate, Master’s and Ph.D. Programmes. The candidate will not be informed by post. The counselling letter should be downloaded from the website www.upcatet.org.
2. No communication regarding the result of the U.P. Combined Agriculture & Technology Entrance Test– 2017 will be entertained.
3. The candidate should report at the counselling place as per schedule given in counselling letter for checking of relevant documents and depositing prescribed fee. Those candidates who do not turnup at their call will be given a chance at the end of the day. They can claim only the Programmes in which seats are available at that time and as per their qualifications/groups.
4. The candidates cominzg for personal appearance should bring along with them the following documents (in five sets) for checking and depositing before counselling.
1. The candidate is required to provide the downloaded copy of the online application form duly attested by the competent authority (Registrar/Principal/Dean) of last attended Institution college.
2. Attested photocopies of High School Certificate and Marks-sheet along with the originals.
3. Attested photocopies of Intermediate Certificate and Marks-sheet along with the originals.
4. Attested photocopies of Marks-sheet and Certificate of Bachelor and Master Degree qualification that he/she may possess along with the originals.
5. Domicile Certificate of Uttar Pradesh State issued by the competent authority.
6. Sport Weightage Certificate in original.
7. Character and Conduct Certificate in original from the Head of the Institution last attended.
8. Five-passport size photographs with name and Roll Number written on the back.
9. Original copy of OBC category certificate issued after 31.3.2017 or valid on counselling date.
10. An affidavit accounting for discontinuity of more than three months after leaving the Institution last attended.

12. If any candidate fails to deposit counselling fee and an Advance Institution fee and original certificates, the admission would not be granted and he/she would forfeit his/her claim for admission.

22. ALLOCATION OF UNIVERSITY, PROGRAMME AND DISCIPLINE:
The allocation of University, Programme and Discipline to a successful candidate shall be made on merit-cum-reservation-cum-choice available at the time of counselling. The choice once exercised shall be treated as final and no change shall be allowed thereafter in this respect, even if vacant seats exist in any other University at later stage.
The candidates, once allotted the University, Programme and Discipline, shall be required to deposit the fees as decided by Admission Committee at the time of counselling. The selected candidate, who will not able to deposit fee after allocation of University, Programme and Discipline on the time fixed by the admission committee, their admission shall stand cancelled. After allocation of University, the candidate will be governed by the rules and regulations of concerned University.
23. TIME OF ADMISSION:
Admission to all Programmes shall be made in the first semester of the academic session.
LEGAL JURISDICTION:
All disputes pertaining to the conduct of Entrance Examination and other issues relating to U.P. Combined Entrance Examination conducted by the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology shall fall within the jurisdiction of Meerut court only.
