U zegt?

Have, salesmanager van ABB Robotics.
Ook technisch gezien is deze opdracht zeer
belangrijk.
mechanische veiligheid.
gestoorde productie.
Volgens planning rolt in Born de eerste Mini in
de tweede helft van 2014 van de band.
ABB GAAT VAN JUNI TOT EN MET SEPTEMBER ONGEVEER 1.000 ROBOTS LEVEREN VOOR DE BMW MINI-
PRODUCTIE. DAARVOOR HEBBEN VDL NEDCAR EN ABB EEN SUPPLY AGREEMENT GETEKEND. VDL NEDCAR

zaak vaak slechte communicatie.
We moeten bovendien
is: Marketing ontmoet technologie. The Innovation Flow Lounge tij-
Drinktec

ver overzichtelijk.
me niets.
zelfde hoogte, hetzelfde aantal stelen, knoppen
en bloemen. Ook worden planten met dezelfde
kleur bloemen bij elkaar gezet. Allemaal geba-
re camera systemen.
Waar valt
mij inspireren besluit Izeboud.

Vision, Robotics & Mechatronics 2013
Veel
mensen denken dat vergaande automatisering
vooral iets voor grote multinationals is. Door de
grote volumes zouden alleen zij investeringen
in vergaande automatisering kunnen recht-
vaardigen. Bovendien beschikken zij wel over
de financile bronnen om een hoge automati-
seringsgraad te verwezenlijken.
MKB motorHet midden- en kleinbedrijf is de echte motor
van innovatie, werkgelegenheid en onderne-
merschap.
Want eenmaal bedacht,
maken vele handen in andere landen licht en
goedkoop werk.
automatisering. Hoe kan men anders agile in-

In vele industrile applicaties
(zoals voetgangers of natuurlijke producten). Eenvoudige beeldverwerkingstech-

groot is.

Accelerating sequential computer vision algorithms
using commodity parallel hardware
Jaap van de Loosdrecht,
Cordinator NHL Kenniscentrum Computer Vision
From 2004 onwards, the clock frequency of CPUs has not
significantly increased. Computer vision applications have an increasing demand
for more processing power. The only way to achieve more per formance is to opt
for parallel programming. This presentation will give an overview of the develop-
ment in parallel architectures and programming techniques for CPUs and Grap-
hics Processor Units (GPUs). Presentation subjects include CPU versus GPU archi-
tecture, overview standards for parallel programming, OpenMP standard for
multi-core CPU programming, OpenCL standard for multi-core GPU programming
and computer vision on commodity hardware, such as multi-core processors and
graphics cards.

13.30 - 14.10 uur Advanced control in roboticsDr. Gabriel A. D. Lopes, Assistant Professor, Delft University of Technology
Traditionally, control systems are understood as a tool to enforce that a plant with some dynamics follows a desired reference numerical input signal.
Additional elements such as disturbance rejec tion, optimality, robustness to plant uncertainty, and state estimation are also part of the realm of control.
In scenarios where very complex tasks must be achieved in the physical world, such as in the case of autonomous robotics, the important question is:
which sub-system decides what the reference input signal should be to achieve the task at hand, and how can this be done? In this talk, I will discuss
current trends in the control and computer science fields for addressing control specifications that are far richer than simple numerical references.

Het onderzeebootprincipe in een
visiononvriendelijke omgeving
Ing. Nico Thevissen, MFE, SAC Nederland BV

Machine vision is often used in industrial applications as a replacement for human
visual observation. A vision system quickly, objectively and accurately determines
object characteristics. Combining a vision system with robotics provides an array of
new possibilities. ACROs best-known example of this is the automatic fruit picking
machine, where a robot picks apples based on camera images. ACRO continuously
keeps track of the evolutions in machine vision and implements vision systems in di-
verse projects, for which there were previously no solutions available. Evidence that
machine vision combined with robotics is both innovative and successful. Designing a
machine vision system is complex. ACRO supports companies in integrating machine
vision into their applications.
