• MCTA sings the Myanmar National Anthem (Myanmar Naing Gan Taw Thi Chin) on Monday and Friday during assembly. • MCTA students speak Burmese and Chinese as their native languages and often acquire a second and sometimes third language while studying at MCTA. Students at MCTA display an ability to benefit from our language programmes. FACTS MR. JOSHUA MS. EMMA MR. DAVID J. Mr. Joshua Hook, VP of Strategic Planning, is a teacher with experience in the USA, Thailand and Myanmar. He has been with RVi for four years serving in Mandalay, Yangon and Bangkok as an administrator. Ms. Emma Rosal, VP of Academics, is a teacher with experience in the Philippines and Myanmar. She has been with MCTA for ten years. Mr. David Abramson, VP of Community, Curriculum, Communications and Student Development, has had a successful career in high technology corporate communications in America's Silicon Valley prior to teaching in Thailand for ten years. This is his second year teaching at MCTA. MCTA is going to participate within and out of Mandalay in the areas of sports (basketball, football etc.), English, Maths and Science Competitions. We have increased the number of co-curricular clubs and activities offered to students. MCTA's Board of Directors have given their approval for the building of a brand new facility in the space currently occupied by the multi-purpose hall. This new facility would include special purpose-built areas for music recitals, art programmes and whole school presentations and drama. THOMAS LINN MR. WAYNE Mr. Wayne Schlegel, Director of Summer Programme, is a teacher with experience in the USA, China, Thailand and Middle East. He has been with RVi for as an administrator and Director of special programmes for many years. 1 MCTA Has Got Talent Thomas Linn, a 10 year old upper primary student presented a declamation during our Annual Parents Meeting which he had prepared for MCTA’s English fest, which is held annually.
