Solution

Requirements for installing NetBackup as Failover application1. NetBackup installation is only supported in failover mode (Active Passive configuration)2. Shared volume3. IP address 4. Host name

Installation steps

1. Start the setup and choose NetBackup Installation.

2. Select Install NetBackup Server software

3. Accept License agreement

4. Select the option to perform a cluster install

5. Add the NetBackup Enterprise Server license. Select Master server installation.

6. Provide the details (Cluster group name, Virtual Host name, Virtual IP address, subnet mask, shared drive path, Public network)

7. Virtual host name provided in the above step is considered as a master server host name. Under additional servers add both the node names.

8. By default master server is the Enterprise Media Manager server.

9. Add both the nodes of the cluster on this screen.

10. Use an administrator account of the node.
