WORLD ASSOCIATION OF GIRL GUIDES AND GIRL SCOUTS

INTRODUCTION

As we shared with you in April 2020 (World Conference Circular 6a), due to the postponement of World Conference, two items of time-sensitive World Conference business will be conducted

by written resolution:

• Firstly, to ensure that the World Board has a clear mandate, Full Member Organisations are asked to approve a one-year plan and budget for WAGGGS for 2021. Approval of this 2021 plan and budget provides what is needed in the short-term, until World Conference in 2021 when Member Organisations will be asked to approve the full triennial strategy and budget up to the end of 2023.

• Secondly, to recognise the hard work and accomplishments of our new Potential and Associate Members, Full Member Organisations are be asked to approve the membership proposals as circulated in World Conference Document 10.

We are pleased to now share with you this voting pack which contains all the information you need to participate in the written resolution process.

Thank you to all those Member Organisations who attended the webinars in early October 2020

and provided feedback on the draft 2021 Plan and Budget (WoCo Document 8b). This document has been revised based upon your comments and suggestions, as well reflecting updated financial information. The new version, WoCo Document

METHOD OF VOTING

The method of voting to be used in this 2020 written resolution process will be via the WAGGGS App.

Full instructions for downloading and using the app were circulated to the Head Delegate of each eligible Member Organisation on 4th November 2020. If you have not yet received your login details, or

VOTING STRENGTHAll of the Proposed Motions to be voted upon in this written resolution process are for Full Member Organisations only.

Associate Member Organisations are therefore not be eligible to vote on these proposals.

There are 137 Full Member Organisations of WAGGGS. However, under the terms of the Written Resolution Policy the following Full Member Organisations are not eligible to vote in the written resolution process on this occasion.

The voting strength for this written resolution process is therefore : 130

The Proposed Motions requiring a 75% majority therefore need 98 votes ‘For’ in order for the Motion to be passed.
