Financial Impact 2011
EFCL will propose a funding increase of
6.6% for 2011.
For Homeowner with a home assessed at
$368,000 (average EF assessment), library
tax will increase $4.24 from $64.26 to
$68.50.*

Why the Increase?
Cost shifts and cuts in state aid
– $15,000 impact in 2010 and planned for 2011
Library’s reserve fund has been depleted
– Quicker drop in library’s reserve fund due to
unexpected costs shifts in 2010
– Boiler replacement in late 2009 was paid with
our reserves
– Reduction in interest income
