Blueprint for Future Living

We would like to introduce Vosled Ltd, a ground breaking lighting

design consultancy, specialising in creating interior and exterior

LED lit environments for commercial and residential and marine

applications. The company was founded by designer Marcel Jean

Vos, creator of The Vos Pad, which was the first apartment in the

world to be lit entirely using LEDs. Based on this blueprint for

future living, Vosled continue to push the boundaries, integrating

leading edge technology with imaginative and intelligent LED

lighting design. We now offer clients a single source solution for

all of your lighting design, specification and supply requirements.

LED technology has emerged as a sustainable and revolutionary

lighting solution and is suited to a wide range of applications.

LED lighting has positive effects on energy consumption allowing

projects to comply with energy regulations, improves well-being

as there is no Infra-red or UV, offers greater integration within

the architecture and is maintenance free, as well as providing

unparallel dynamic control and variability. We offer completely

wireless LED lighting control systems, eliminating the need for

any control cables, offering a wireless, hassle free, time and cost

saving alternative to a complex wiring lighting control system,

whilst maintaining all functionality.

The Vos1000 offers an energy efficient lighting alternative to CLF, tungsten halogen and GLS lamp sources, with the benefit of a no maintenance light source, giving a life time of 60,000 hours.

It is constructed with high quality die-cast aluminium powder coated components and can be fitted with different attachments to suit the application. The Vos1000 is ideal for hotels, corridors or public areas where maintenance may be an issue and there is a need to save energy.

vos-vortex 03 represents the next generation of LED downlight. Once again, the LED is recessed deep within the luminaire itself, minimising glare and offering a sleek downlight which is truly minimal-ist. vos-vortex 03 produces an equivalent amount of light to an MR11 Halogen even in warm white, utilising 3 of the incredibly powerful Rebel LEDs, operating at a total of 6 Watts, a huge power and lifetime improvement.

The clever heatsinking mechanism to the rear of the fitting enables LED temperature to be maintained at a suitably low level, to offer excellent lifetime and performance benefits.

Description

The product takes LEDs to the next level, providing a power output which competes with more conventional light sources, offer-ing light outputs genuinely equivalent to 50 Watt MR16 lamps in warm white. Designed around revolutionary thermo dynamic technology, vos-evolution 100 utilises liquid cooling to dissipate the heat away from the LED, and maintain product performance.

Vos-evolution 100 works with the LED Engine 50, which produces an amazing 900 lumens in warm white using around 20 Watts, and is incredibly energy efficient with an outstanding efficacy of 45 lumens per Watt, in line with Part L energy efficient guidelines. The cold white performance is even more amazing, with 1440 lumens at 20 Watts, offering an amazing 75 lumens per Watt. LED lifetime is not impaired by the in-credible light output, with an expected 70% lumen maintenance at 50,000 hours.

Vos-evolution 100 features super efficient LED optics with narrow, medium, wide and extra wide beam options, harnessing over 90% of the light output to deliver a truly out-standing lighting performance. All of these optics can be interchanged on site with rel-ative ease, along with the LED boards (and not the whole luminaire) should LED change be necessary. Emergency versions are also available, whereby one of the compact LEDs onboard is illuminated during emergency operation, giving suitable emergency light powered by the compact emergency driver adjacent to the luminaire.

The basic model is available at 100mm diam-eter, with adjustable versions that feature fully lockable pan and tilt movements, allowing the designer complete control in focusing. A trimless version is also available for seamless incorpora-tion into ceiling plaster ceilings, for an incredibly minimalist, low glare design.

Description

Vos pro-evolution is the next generation of recessed miniature architectural down-lights, delivering 35 Watt halogen equivalent in warm white colour temperature, utilising only 10 Watts of power. The luminaire is designed as a minimalist ceiling recessed fixture, with fixed, adjustable versions (including magnetic front rings) along with a trimless recessed version. Vos pro-evolu-tion will generate an equivalent light output to a 35-50 Watt halogen utilising only 10 Watts of LED power.

Vos pro-evolution also features super ef-ficient LED optic, with narrow, medium, wide and extra wide beam options, harness-ing over 90% of the light output to deliver a truly outstanding lighting performance. All of these optics can be interchanged on site with relative ease, along with the LED boards (and not the whole luminaire) should LED change be necessary.

Pro-Evo utilises specially designed heat-sinking technology to maintain a cool junc-tion temperature of the LEDs and ensure their long 50,000 hour life, to 70% lumen maintenance.

LED Linear Luminaires

The vos-linear 01 range is truly a complete product, it is available in monochromatic and RGB versions and is suitable for applications for lighting a range of architectural surfaces, such as cornices of buildings, stairs and pathways. There are several available optics, asymmetric, 20°, 50° and 90° which makes the vos-linear 01 versatile product . The innovative linear optic creates diffusion and immediate mixtures of light. Available on request to include a anti-glare option in aluminium.

The vos-linear 01 range is IP65 rated so is suitable for outdoor solutions. They are available in a dimmable version with a DMX driver, or in an ON/OFF version with the driver included.

The vos-linear 03 and 04 ranges are modular recessed linear fixtures. The vos-linear 03 range includes powerLEDs and the 04 offers a stripLED version. Installing the fitting with an optional outer casing offers the possibility to create a perimeter line light that will fit into may environments. The square recessed profile is particularly versatile for wall applications and there is also an outer casing available for installation into false ceilings.

The vos-linear 06 range has been designed as a perimeter or linear light suitable for external environments. There is a Power LED 2 watt version with transparent glass and a stripLED version with silkscreen glass. Two options of outer-casing are available, the 120mm version has a resistance of 1.5 tonnes and is suited to bridges and drive over applications, and the 90mm is ideal for pathways.

Connectors: Fast metal nikeled ip68 with junction cabled in PUR. Accessory included.

Outer-casing: Equipment in steel available in two different height: One version of 120mm that isdrive-over, the 90mm is a walk-over or limited driver-over.

We provide all the benefits of a sophisticated lighting control system but without the hassle of rewiring.

Rako modules can be quickly and easily installed into any environment, domestic or commercial, from hotel bed-rooms and function rooms to restaurants and churches.

This is How it’s Done

Installation of most scene set dimmers today involves complete rewiring. Rako lighting control equipment overcomes this problem immediately making retro-fit simple. Unlike most conventional systems, control panels communicate with dimmer modules using wireless radio communication. This allows the addressable dimmers to be fitted locally to the light fittings. With 65,000 possible addresses and a range of 15m, or 100m with a booster, it can accommodate the largest of schemes.

Each control panel can select up to 4 preset scenes plus off and has a master raise and lower. System commis-sioning and programming of scenes can be performed from the control panel, hand held or from your PC using our intuitive software.

The fusion of an organic fibrous struc-ture, emphasized by its handmade manufacture and use of natural fibres, with components of modern light engi-neering creates an exciting symbiosis and an impression which is contempo-rary yet poetic.

The desired shape of the light or object determines the manufacturing process right from the start, i.e. the choice of material, colour, heavyness or lightness of the paper.The manufacture is inspired by the old art of papermaking found e.g. in the Japanese or Nepalese tradition, yet expresses itself in contemporary forms and thus continues to evolve paper-making through innovative and artistic impulses.

LIGHTPAPER is especially suitable for the integration into the architectural planning of interior spaces but also for the subsequent installation. Size and patterning can be adjusted according to the space in question.

Luminous surfaces elucidate in all shapes and sizes - from small objects to wall-size surfaces or shapes to LichtTapete (illuminated wall paper). They can bathe any room in soft light and create a poetic and magical atmo-sphere.

Changes of colour and movement of the light can produce additional effects. The light source which is a special projector does not have to be in the immediate vicinity of the paper and is chosen ac-cording to the desired light intensity and colour.

In addition to some standard shapes, individual light objects are designed to clients’ specifications.
