Emergency
Assistance Reminders
Intake Volunteers: Please remind clients with a
financial pledges that BCM will verify all documents
if received before the expiration date before
approving the pledge. Once we verify the pledge, we
will process for payment within 2 business days.
Intake Volunteers: New Worker Support is given
once within 365 days to new clients whom have been
offered employment and have not received their first
paycheck. To be eligible, we must have a letter on
company letterhead with start dates of employment,
first paycheck date along with work requirements,
and a company phone number to call and
verify. Each client that request New Worker Support
must sign a New Worker Support agreement form.

Congratulations to Najah (Emergency Assistance
Program Coordinator) and her husband on the birth
of their son Gregory “Carter” Douglass on May 13th!
Carter weighed 8 lbs,4oz & measured 24 inches long.
Mom and baby are both doing well.

Goodbye from Carrie
Carrie DuBose, Emergency Assistance Program
Manager, will be dearly missed when she leaves her
position at BCM to return to Minnesota this month.
Here is a farewell note from Carrie:
Dear BCM Family –
It is after much prayer and consideration
that I have decided to resign from my posi-
tion at BCM and move back to Minnesota to
be closer to my family. My last day in the of-
fice will be Friday, June 5th. I plan to spend
time hanging out with my family; especially
my four nieces and nephews (under the age of
four)!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank
you for being my family and my home-away-
from-home for the past three years. I have
learned so much from each you and you have
touched my life. Your dedication, passion, ser-
vice and hard work – week after week – to-
wards BCM’s mission have greatly inspired
me! Thank you for making a difference in the
lives of our community, our clients, and most
certainly, my life!

Seeds of Change Luncheon Recap Our annual BCM Seeds of Change luncheon took place on Wednesday, April 29th at 103
West with key note speaker Elizabeth Kiss, president of Agnes Scott College. To date, over
170 women have joined Seeds and raised over $110,000 for mothers and children in crisis.
Thank you to this special group of women for their compassion and support!
