It was our 30th anniversary of service. I started as the new CEO. We broke fundraising records with our Seeds of Change Society, Tee it Up Golf Tournament, #GivingTuesday, and annual appeal. We rebranded the 70/30 project to “Budget for Life,” which graduated its 24th class since its founding. BCM also received two major philanthropic investments. The first will bring BCM’s technology into the 21st Century; the second will evaluate and improve the business model for THRIFTique. We will have more on the impact of these significant gifts in future newsletters, but for now I want to focus your attention on what is happening at THRIFTique. The Buckhead THRIFTique is one of the key offerings BCM provides for our community. Each year it re-gifts your donations of clothing to community members in need to the tune of $150,000 worth of clothing. Additionally, it provides low-income and value shoppers with great deals on lightly used, quality goods, which provide modest returns to cover costs associated with running the store. Unfortunately, the expenses exceed the profit by approximately $60K annually, hence the need to do a thorough analysis of the business. This is where you come in. We are looking for monthly rent sponsors for the store to make up this loss in 2018 as we conduct our business analysis and plan for a future in which THRIFTique can provide financial support for the programs. The opportunity is a fun one: for each month of rent you or your bible study or group of friends are willing to cover, your name will be promoted at the store, in newsletters, and on social media. For $5,000, you will provide one month’s rent for the store and the store will be “Brought to our community by YOU!” This is a tax-deductible donation, and will go a long way in helping us cover the costs of clothing our community. Please reach out to Tiffany Banks if you are interested. 2018 is full of tremendous vision and growth, and we are thrilled to have you walking along side of us as we walk along side of those among us in need. United in ministry, Keeva

CEO Message
Dear BCM Community:
2017 was a watershed year for BCM in many ways. It was
our 30th anniversary of service. I started as the new CEO.
We broke fundraising records with our Seeds of Change
Society, Tee it Up Golf Tournament, #GivingTuesday, and
annual appeal. We rebranded the 70/30 project to “Budget
for Life,” which graduated its 24th class since its founding.
BCM also received two major philanthropic investments.
The first will bring BCM’s technology into the 21st Century;
the second will evaluate and improve the business model for
THRIFTique. We will have more on the impact of these
significant gifts in future newsletters, but for now I want to
focus your attention on what is happening at THRIFTique.
The Buckhead THRIFTique is one of the key offerings BCM provides for our
community. Each year it re-gifts your donations of clothing to community members in
need to the tune of $150,000 worth of clothing. Additionally, it provides low-income
and value shoppers with great deals on lightly used, quality goods, which provide
modest returns to cover costs associated with running the store. Unfortunately, the
expenses exceed the profit by approximately $60K annually, hence the need to do a
thorough analysis of the business.
This is where you come in. We are looking for monthly rent sponsors for the store to
make up this loss in 2018 as we conduct our business analysis and plan for a future in
which THRIFTique can provide financial support for the programs. The opportunity is a
fun one: for each month of rent you or your bible study or group of friends are willing
to cover, your name will be promoted at the store, in newsletters, and on social media.
For $5,000, you will provide one month’s rent for the store and the store will be
“Brought to our community by YOU!” This is a tax-deductible donation, and will go a
long way in helping us cover the costs of clothing our community.
Please reach out to Tiffany Banks if you are interested.
2018 is full of tremendous vision and growth, and we are thrilled to have you walking
along side of us as we walk along side of those among us in need.
