Project: NEST BOX MAINTENANCE What: Maintain wood duck nest boxes along the Boise, Snake and Payette Rivers. Where: Barber Park, Boise, Swan Falls, Montour, Payette River, Crane Falls and Ted Trueblood

Wildlife Management Area. When: Weekdays during January and/or February. Montour event on Saturday, Feb. 3rd, 2018. Logistics: Tools, gloves, materials, and transportation provided. # People: Two to eight each day.

Project: MK NATURE CENTER What: The MK Nature Center offers a glimpse of Idaho’s landscapes and abundant wildlife – right in

the middle of Boise. Volunteer positions include teacher, interpreter, host, & gardener. Events include Idaho Salmon and Steelhead Days and International Migratory Bird Day.

Where: MK Nature Center. When: Year around. Logistics: Training provided. Call Vicky Runnoe at (208) 287-2902 or [email protected] Project: HUNTER EDUCATION INSTRUCTORS What: Teach hunter education. Where: Southwest Idaho. When: Year around. Logistics: Call Jaime Creson at 327-7159 Project: SNAKE RIVER CLEAN-UP (2 sites)

What: Pick up trash along the banks of the Snake River. Where: Swan Falls site and Map Rock site (Walters Ferry to Marsing) When: Saturdays, April 14th for Swan Falls and the 21st (Earth Day weekend) for Map Rock. Logistics: Trash bags, some transportation provided. Wear gloves! # People: Twenty to thirty at each site.

Project: N.F. PAYETTE RIVER and TRIBUTARIES: RIPARIAN HABITAT RESTORATION What: Bank stabilization with native shrub and tree plantings Where: Streambanks along the N.F. Payette River, Boulder Creek, and other tributaries When: Saturdays, April 28th and May 12th, 2018. Additional Saturdays or weekdays are likely. Please

contact Michael or Karie for more information. Logistics: Tools, gloves, waders, and transportation provided. Bring change of clothes and lunch. # People: Fifteen to twenty people each day.

Project: FIRE RESTORATION and SAGE GROUSE LEK REHABILITATION What: Plant bitterbrush and sagebrush seedlings to restore native upland habitats that burned

during previous summer wildfires. Where: Boise River Wildlife Management Area (Table Rock, MM14, and Hammer Flat), Owyhee

Mountains (possibly), and potentially other sites in southwestern Idaho. When: Saturdays in March 2018 (likely March 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th). Logistics: Tools, gloves, and transportation provided. # People: Fifty to one-hundred each day.
