Volunteer Introduction
Nashville Wine Auction’s mission is to unite the wine community to fund the fight against cancer.
Since 1980, Nashville Wine Auction has raised over $17 million dollars and is the country’s longest running charity wine auction.
A self-sustaining, 501c3 non-profit organization, Nashville Wine Auction engages local and global wine communities to produce auctions and wine related events throughout the year. All proceeds go to cancer-fighting charities in Middle Tennessee.
Nashville Wine Auction
Beneficiaries
HistoryIn the summer of 1980, a group of Nashvillians, led by Homer Blitch and Thomas J. Milam, wanted to establish a creative way to raise funds to fight cancer. l’Eté du Vin (A Summer of Wine) was born. This inaugural food and wine event raised $3,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Today Nashville Wine Auction offers three main events throughout the year that attract not only local food and wine lovers but also wine collectors from across the nation.
