FEBRUARY 2020
You are the salt of the earth...
Matthew 5:13
Our purpose is to call students to a relationship with Jesus, disciple them in the Word of God, help them develop Christ-centered relationships, and equip them to reach their world.
Our youth group name, The Saltshakers, comes from Matthew 5:13, where Jesus is talking to His disciples and He says, “you are the salt of the earth.”
At Saltshaker Youth Ministry we want to use every opportunity to be salt, a taste of God, to the world around us.
Small groups is a (me of hanging out, reflec(on over the lesson from
Wednesday evening, and for students to grow closer together.
Whether it’s Instagram, YouTube, TV, or movies, we are constantly surrounded by “influencers.” But in reality, we are all influencers because we all influence others in some way, whether we mean to or not. We’re all already influencers, but the
question is, “What kind of influencers will we be?” In this series we’ll learn from a few key influencers in the Bible about what real influencers are like.
Week 1: To be an influencer, be humble—not arrogant
Week 2: To be an influencer, chase
good—not evil.
Week 3: To be an influencer, live small—and dream big.
Week 4: To be an influencer, tell God’s
story– not just your own.
