President’s Message A Happy and Healthy New Year to all! Well a new start again to another year, and I am excited about it. Our office ended up having our second-best year ever and I personally want to thank all that were involved. A special thanks to our agents and to our co-broke offices and their agents. I am hopeful that this new year, business will be just as good and even better for all our Members and Affiliates. I want to remind everyone to take REALTOR safety seriously given that we received word of a suspicious individual requesting showings using various names. The board of directors will be discussing how to best handle situations given the dual concerns of raising awareness while avoiding anything that may be considered defamatory. A special thanks to everyone who rang a bell for Salvation Army last month. If you volunteer for anything in your communities and send us a photo, you can earn a free gift from NWAR as a small token to show our appreciation for what you do. Another Reminder that we have designation webinars upcoming for ABR, CRS, GREEN and PSA starting in February and that the first 20 NWAR Members who earn a designation or complete WRA Quick Start Training will earn a $100 education incentive award from NWAR to help defray your costs. Earn a designation to show your clients and customers that you believe in further education so you can be better at what you do. I would also like to Invite our Members and Affiliates to contact President-Elect Julie Manthei or Matt if you are interested in possibly running for a seat on the NWAR Board. The Nominating Committee will be meeting next month to start working on a slate of candidates for election this spring. Please really consider giving some of your time and your ideas to your association. And finally, watch for our 2018 year-end report coming soon for a recap of our association's accomplishments in 2018 and a glimpse at our year ahead. Our next Lunch & Learn is one that proved popular in the
past - a discussion of Oneida County Zoning with Zoning
Administrator Karl Jennrich on February 13th at the
Rhinelander Chamber. Karl will update attendees on
zoning issues in Oneida County (eg: short-term rentals,
well & septic, shoreland zoning, etc) and answer any
questions you have.
Please fill out the link at right (just once is fine) to let us
know which upcoming L&L courses interest you. We will
email you a reminder the week prior to confirm if you are
able to attend.
