SENYLRC Matters The 2013-2014 SENYLRC Board of Trustees Stiller, Head of Reference at the Newburgh Free Library. Re- elected to the Board are James Cosgrove of the Marlboro Free Library and Mary Ellen Leimer of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. The Board also approved its Executive Commit- Five people were recently elected to the 15 member SENYLRC Board of Trustees. Newly elected to a 5-year term are: Cathy Carl, Library Director, Dutchess Com- munity College; Kathy Ku- rosman, retired librarian from Vassar College, and Jeannie At this year’s ALA in Chicago, Stuart Moss accepted the 2013 American Psychologi- cal Association award for Excellence in Librarianship, includ- ing a $2,500 prize. The APA award recog- nized Stuart for his work at NKI, and his transformation of “an outdated and disor- ganized library into a modern facility, serving the needs of both re- searchers and those affected by serious mental illness.” Stuart was also chosen because he has played an important leadership role in many library associations, including SENYLRC, where he has served on the Board as treasurer.
