Message From The Chair

I am overwhelmed to yet again present a new issue of the

ECE departmental newsletter COMMUNIQUE, which high-

lights our accomplishments, events that we have organized

our achievements, our head line news and our objectives

for the future.

The newsletter reflects how our faculty, students and alum-

ni are working together to achieve excellence in various di-

mensions of growth such as innovation of new technology, research or any other

dynamic changes in the methodologies of teaching and learning.

The ECE department is fully equipped with all the labs mandatory for the curricu-

lum and industrial demands. The prominent asset of our department is the intel-

lectual capital which comprises highly motivated, technically skilled and well qual-

ified faculty members.

Our association with industry has grown stronger with every passing semester

and this has enormously facilitated us with our teaching and learning process. At

IPEC we maintain a balance between classroom teaching and practical exercises in

the subjects.

To enhance overall technical understanding of the subjects, students’ theoretical

knowledge is complimented with the plant level actual implementation. The same

is achieved through industrial visits. Students are taken to industries where they

not only learn but also perceive the translation of their knowledge into the proce-

dures used to solve real life problems.

I am proud of the accomplishments showcased by the department. The present

edition of the newsletter presents such accomplishments for the period April

2017-June 2017. I am confident that as IPEC ECE continues in its strategic direc-

tion as a field leader, even bigger success will be realized with every coming day. I

thank all our alumni, friends and industry partners who provide the support that

is essential to our efforts for excellence in education and research. As always, do

feel free to contact me at [email protected] with your ideas and feedback.

A few smiles, a few tears, some tight hugs, several cherish able lifetime mem-

ories, some photographs, some sad goodbyes, and some promises to stay

friends forever……..! These were the perfect ingredient of a perfect farewell

of batch of EC 2013-2017. The farewell party was organized by 3rd year EC

students for their seniors on 18th April 2017 .The event started with lamp light-

ning followed by the last heartwarming message by our honorable Director Dr.

B.C. Sharma and HoD V.K. Gupta to our seniors.

On the beat of music, 3rd year students gave enthralling dance performance

which compelled everyone to shake their leg. From paper dance to rapid fire

round numbers of games were organized to make the day unique. 3rd year stu-

dents also sang songs which made our seniors travel down the memory lane of

their four year journey. All the seniors were awarded with fun titles according

to their personality. Our seniors also mimicked their faculties which made the

ambiance comical.

Finally at the end, sachets were distributed and Mr.Vaibhav Srivastava and

Ms. Preetu Dwivedi became Mr. and Ms. ECE respectively. The end finally

came with mixed emotions as on one side it was the end of the tremendous ter-

rific journey of our seniors, full of experiences, committing mistakes, learning

from them, finding themselves and building their future; and on other side it

was the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, as they are now ready to en-

ter the professional world and compete with globe with knowledge and skill.

And as goodbyes are always painful and we will certainly miss them, but we

wish our seniors a successful stint for their future ahead and hope they attain

great heights in their life.

G oodbyes are only

for those who love with their eyes. Be-cause for those who love with their heart and soul there is no such things as sepa-ration.

S aying

Good-

bye with a

party, Not

Tears.

MIDNIGHT MADNESS

Sitting under the midnight sky,

Under the gaze of the moon,

I have been observing this little girl

Who’s been here since noon.

Her smile reminds me of you,

Her giggle is a treat to the ears,

She’s chubby she’s innocent,

As pious as I have seen in years..

She’s with her parents,

They’re camping too,

These foothills of Himalayas,

Keep reminding me of you,

I haven’t seen you as of yet

But there seems a connection,

We’ve talked a lot

And there is interaction..

I wish to see you

As soon as I can,

For you’re the language,

I really want to understand..

I may look kiddy,

But I’ve seen it all,

From the streets of Dharavi

To big city’s mall.

You may not understand me ,

But it’s fine,

I’ll tell you everything

Over a glass of wine

I’m still sitting under the mid-night sky,

Under the gaze of the moon,

The little girl has slept,

Probably I should too.

- AKSHAT BISHT

“The heart beats a little awkwardly ,

When you smile so perfectly.

Your voice reverberates in my ears,

even though you aren’t here.

It breaks the silence of the monoto-

nous day..”

“Do you think about me everytime?”

“You are on mind,

Every day and Everywhere.”

Once again it is with immense pleasure that we have been given the opportunity to work for the depart-

mental newsletter. A newsletter mirrors the college – its vision and mission. It also highlights events, ac-

tivities and academic achievements of the college as a whole and the department in particular. In this edi-

tion, we have tried to capture activities and achievements of our students during July– December 2016. We

do hope that the newsletter encourages many more to use it as a platform to publish their accomplish-

ments. We sincerely hope that this edition makes for an interesting read. Please feel free to offer any sug-

gestion for improvement at [email protected].

Sincerely,

From the Editor’s Desk
