AACA Seeks Relief for Carriers on Requirement to Purchase TAF Weather
AACA Re-engages the Delegation on FETs
AACA Advocates for Part 135 Air Carriers on Conflicts with ADA RegulationsAACA seeks resolution to Part 135 air carriers who desire to provide transporta-tion services in compliance with FAA and ADA requirements where the safety of all passengers and flight crew is protected.
AACA desires to resume discussions with the IRS and seek final resolution to this long standing issue on FETs. Given the continued severity of current law upon aviation businesses, AACA has asked the delegation to assist AACA and seek protection of Alaskan air carriers through better a defined IRS federal excise tax law.
AACA member seek float plane pilot for the month of September 2017. For details contact Willow Air.
In 2014, FAA attorneys issues a legal interpretation that prevents the use of Area Forecasts to allow for dispatch of flights under instrument flight rules in Alaska. Alaskan air carriers been asked to purchase TAF weather, a service historically provided by the National Weather Service.
