Donor Spotlight: Lauren’s First and Goal
Lauren’s First and Goal Foun-
dation was established in 2004
by Marianne and John Loose
in honor of their 17-year-old
daughter Lauren, a pediatric
brain tumor survivor. Lauren
has been a long-time camper
and is a recent graduate from
Camp Can Do.

Can Do from Lauren’s First
and Goal has made a great
difference in our ability to
continue to provide the best
possible experience for our

Did You Know…
The “Web of Kind-
ness” is a giant spider
web on which we hang
small notes of thanks
when someone else at
camp does something
nice for us.
Each cabin performs a
cheer for the rest of
camp before breakfast
once during the week.
Nothing beats a “night
swim” after a long, hot
day at Hershey Park! (continued on page 4)

Flashes of Hope began partnering with
Camp Can Do in 2008 and quickly
became an important tradition in our
program. Campers enjoy the photo
shoot process, camp staff appreciates
the care and excellence with which
the photographers do their job, and
parents love receiving professional
portrait packages (completely free of
charge) of their kids. Camp Can Do is
honored to
have Flashes
of Hope as
part of its
family.
On behalf of the children and families
of Camp Can Do, we wish to express
our sincere and continued gratitude
to Chapter Director, Jeannie Kruiden-
ier, and her entire team for providing
this outstanding service.

organization, please visit

Flashes of Hope raises funds to
accelerate a cure for children's cancer
while honoring the unique life and
memories of every child fighting can-
cer. Founded in 2001 by the parents
of a child with cancer, they are a vol-
unteer driven organization, solely fo-
cused on children's cancer. With
chapters in 55 cities, they photograph
more than 50% of the children annu-
ally diagnosed in the United States.
Since its founding in 2001, they have
photographed 43,830 children at hos-
pitals and camps across the United
States!
Camp Can Do relies on the kindness of donors
to carry out many of our camp activities and
