Last quarter of 2015 was full of activities where “Chess

competition” tested the thinking ability of employees,

“Mother Day “ celebrations brought smile on thousands

of faces including Mayor of the Probolinggo city and tree

planting gave a pleasant feeling to our precious guests.

Excellent CT-PAT score (99 out of 100) consecutively

for 2nd year was another highlight of the quarter which

increased the list of achievements of Eratex team.

Healthy Walking Mother Day

On 22nd December, Indonesia celebrates “Mother day”. It is a very important day for

Eratex as well as 80% of our employees are mothers. Therefore Women committee

& HER Project team of Eratex organized a “healthy walking program” for employees

and their families on Sunday, 20th December 2015. 7500 employees and their families

participated in a walk of 3 km which started from factory gate to the surrounding area.

Mayor of Probolinggo city attended the event by 05.10 AM. In her opening speech, she

appreciated support of Eratex management and efforts of HER project committee for

consistently conducting CSR activities and encouraging woman empowerment.

Besides healthy walking, participants were entertained with bazaar, aerobics, and

dancing. A medical camp was also organized to check blood sugar and blood pressure.

On this occasion blood donation camp was also organized with the support of Probolinggo

city Red Cross association. The event ended with various prizes to lucky draw winners

and participants.

The event was also covered by local TV channel (ProTV).

Chess Competition

In last quarter, a proposal came from employees to conduct the “Chess competition”

as Chess is also one of the popular sports in Indonesia and known as “Catur”. The

competition started in October 2015 and took 2 months to finish with matches on every

Sunday. 74 employees from different departments qualified to participate. Here is the

HER Project PEs Off site with families

As the full 12 months training of first batch of HER Project accomplished, the HER

project committee organized a day Off site to the nearby hill station on Sunday -12th

Nov. 2015 for PEs and their families as a token of appreciation for their hard work . The

off site was refreshing as visiting area was full of beautiful scenery and refreshing hilly

environment. Besides sight - seeing, various other fun games were played involving

family members of PEs which further motivated them to continue doing their great job

with dedication.

Eratex is consistent in giving its contribution not only to employee but also to the

surrounding society. On 25th October Eratex conducted a special event for orphanages in

Probolinggo city, with the theme of ‘My Dream and Future” in Baitul Mustaqim Mosque.

85 orphans from various orphanages in Probolinggo area participated in this event. They

were motivated by briefing about importance of having a dream in life and developing

courage to achieve it. There were also performances on the theme of “My Dream”.

All children were also given a gift packet containing their school books, pencil case,

stationary, school bag and pocket money. The event was an effort from Eratex employees

to bring some motivation and smile to the lives of orphanages and it ended with a

satisfactory outcome.

Tree Planting

Environmental

Planting tree is a part of environment protection activities in Eratex. We have initiated

an environmental project called “ Ruang Terbuka 1000 Pohon”. (Open space to be

converted into park with 1000 trees). Besides our employees, we also invite our guests

to participate in this project by planting tree. We planted lot of trees in this park in last

quarter. Some of our precious visiting guests also obliged us by planting mango tree

which besides giving nutritious fruit also works as high CO2 absorbent.

Welfare/Safety/Training

HER Project committee continued with its initiatives aimed at improving the health of

women employees. In last quarter, productive training sessions were organized

to cover breastfeeding topics such as importance of breastfeeding for baby’s immune,

growth, and intelligence. Various queries of participants on the topics such best way

to store milk for working women etc. were also answered. The knowledge gained by

trainees (PE) s adequately shared with 2,200 employees through scheduled day to day

interactions.


No Harassment Training

Employees in Eratex belong to different races, gender, ages, etc. HR team conducted

training on 28th December 2015 for 200 supervisors from different department of

operational floor to brief them about the culture, habits and traditions of different races.

They were also briefed about the various types of behavioral actions which can be included

in the category of harassment even if there is no intention of harassment. Participants

gained good knowledge about this key area and shared it with their teams in respective

departments.

Day Shift Fire Evacuation Training

Conducting fire evacuation drills and first aid trainings are important and regular activities

in Eratex. In last quarter fire and evacuation drill was conducted on 31st December

2015 during day shift operations. The complete evacuation of all workers from building

took less than 2 minutes which is a satisfactory performance from safety point of view.

Besides, a demonstration was also given on various first aid techniques about handling

the accidental emergencies.


C-TPAT Certification

Our consistent strong commitment for achieving highest security standards has again

resulted into Excellent score (99/ 100) in C-TPAT audit conducted in Dec.15. A comparison

with Global average score of 79, Indonesia average score of 83 and Industry average score

of 83 makes our achievement remarkable.

Best Industry PracticeBlood Sugar Check

As per World Health Organization (WHO), Indonesia is placed on 5th rank as the country

with largest diabetic patient. Around 9.1 million Indonesians are affected with diabetic and

around 70% cases are not detected at early stage when prevention and cure is relatively

easier. Keeping in view this fact we started a free blood sugar check for our employees

from “Mothers day” where blood sugar was checked for 400 employees. We will start

doing this check in our in house clinic every quarter.
