It seems like only a few years
ago when Lexus introduced the
first crossover vehicle and since
that time these Hybrid models
have set a new standard when it
comes to affordable quality in an
automobile. Yet the automaker
has been able to keep the price
down as the quality continues to
rise.
Inside the new Lexus you see a
refreshed interior layout and
safety galore this model. Dual
advanced front airbags, driver
and passenger, knee airbags,
front and rear side curtain
airbags front and rear seat
mounted side airbags to name a
few. A 10-way power driver seat
and a power tilt and telescopic
steering wheel helps make you
comfortable complete with
adjustable head rest.
When it comes to stopping your
new Lexus you’ll have just as
much fun as taking off. Thanks
mainly to four-wheel anti-lock
braking system with EBD, BA
and vehicle stability controls as
well as smart stop technology.
Energy managing crumple
zones, side door beams helps to
protect you if you are unfortu-
nate enough to be in an accident.

Hey Houston are you fed up
with your love life? If your love
life is not what you want and
you feel no love life is better
than being involved, you are not
alone. I received a letter from a
young lady, and I say young, she
was in her upper twenties. She
kept stating that she could not
stand men, and that all men are
dogs, and she had some pretty
choice words and seem to be
sticking to her guns. Her way of
dealing with it at this point was
to have a stiff drink with her sis-
ter and take men out of the
equation all together, and every-
thing would be just fine. That
maybe OK for the evening, but
tomorrow is a new day with new
situations. Sometimes not being
in a relationship for awhile can
help, as sometimes we need to
just focus on ourselves, our chil-
dren and our family. Believe it
or not a man or a woman is not
a necessity. It is essential for a
normal love life, but not for us
to love life. Sometimes our self
esteem can be ruined because of
some jerk. In her letter she
recalled an incident where she
talked to a guy over the phone,
when they met in a public place
which happened to be a club, he
acted and talked like he was
really into her but later to find
out he had blew her off to be
with some other female he just
met, and did it without remorse
in front of her as if she didn’t
exist. Has this ever happened to
you? I know it’s happened to me
so it’s not just men who can be
jerks, and I know it can hurt.
There will be times that every-
thing goes right with our rela-
tionships and quest for love,
then with the roses also comes
the thorns and you are bound to
get stuck sooner or later. You
can’t let one or two bad apples
ruin the whole barrel if you
know what I mean. And you
can’t go into another relationship
bringing baggage from a previ-
ous one. When you meet some-
one new you have to give them
the benefit of the doubt or it will
never make it off the runway
and into the air. So I can under-
stand taking a break from time
to time to regroup, but you can’t
give up and hate all others of the
opposite sex. Hmmm... what’s
the alternative - sometimes you
have the same problems, if you
catch my drift.
Recently on “In The Love
Corner” which you can listen to
every Wednesday at 8:00 pm, we
talked about why Women cheat?
This sensitive subject lead to a
very detailed and interesting
extensive conversation. Some of
the points to name a few were
that some women are just
cheaters, some do it for revenge,
lack of attention and lack of inti-
macy just to name a few. For an
evening of great music and love
talk join me and my co host EZ
and special guest on Wednesday
nights on AM 1430 KCOH.
The top love songs of the month
are 1. Get Here Oletha Adams 2.
Sparkle Cameo 3. I will Always

5. Easy Commodores.
Also like to thank Htown, GI

the first to play their new release

check it on KCOH nightly.
So until next time
Houston, Texas-While in town
for the 103rd convention of the
NCAAP, the executives from
General Motors put together a
fantastic dinner at Quattro
Restaurant inside the Four
Season Hotel. Thanks to Jocelyn
K. Allen, GM Grassroots and
Diversity Communication, the
dinner was great plus and
allowed those smaller publica-
tions like A King-Size View an
opportunity to take part in the
process. Among the people from
GM who were present was
Gloria Tostado from the GM
South Central Region
Communications office in Dallas
as well as Vivian Rogers Pickard
who’s President GM Foundation
Director of Corporate Relations.
All very pleasant people to talk
with us and we look forward to
building a strong working rela-
tionship with the big automaker.
Certainly Dan Moon is doing a
wonderful job of handling the
logistics for GM product line at
ESI in Dallas. However this
night was for GM to introduce
their newly appointed Chief
Diversity Officer Ken Barrett.
The 28 year Naval Officer is hit-
ting the ground running and we
were impressed with his opening
remarks. Making it clear inclu-
sive is the word they want to
hear a lot of from this newly
created position and GM has a
good reputation as it relates to
the small segment of the market
place. It certainly brings back
memories for me when I see the
new Malibu and Impala on the
road and in the coming edition
we will have more news from
GM on some of the people who
are involved in the designing of
these new and exciting products.
We must admit this is a great
feeling seeing GM in this light
and we hope to make the most
of it.

Dear reader, we are again sothankful for the opportunity toshare with you some SCRIP-TURAL TRUTHS. Again wethank Mr. Prayther and staff, andof course Fiesta for allowing usthis opportunity. There areMANY professing Christianity,“followers of Christ”. If this istrue, then this is GOOD. But weMUST remember the words ofthe Lord and savior Jesus Christ, how that He said; “Matt 7:13Enter ye in at the (1)strait gate:for (2)wide is the gate, and(3)broad is the (4)way, thatleadeth to (5)destruction, and(6)many there be which go inthereat: 14 Because strait is thegate, and (7)narrow is the(8)way, which leadeth unto life, and (9)few there be (10)thatfind it. 15 Beware of falseprophets, which come to you insheep’s clothing, but inwardlythey are ravening wolves.” (seealso Matt.7:16-28; 20:16 and22:14; Luke13:24-28; 1Pet.3:20-22; 2Pet.2:1-7).

Now after reading, understand-ing, and accepting the WORDSof the Lord and Savior JESUSCHRIST; it is NOT the MANYbut the FEW. This study, as allare, is for SELF CHECKINGaccording to the WORD; forthere be few that are willing tolive a 24/7, SELF-DENYING,Christian lifestyle. So, inChristianity the old saying “themajority rules” doesn’t apply. The Word of TRUTH RULES,and there be FEW that accept IT.Contrary to what seems to be thebelief that living a Christian lifeis easy, according to Christ thisis not true; because it is a suffer-ing lifestyle of denying our sec-ular wants, fun, pleasures etc. This is why we believe accord-ing to the Word, that the words“Christian” and “Christianity”are the most miss-applied wordson earth. It was not easy forChrist, or for those that followedhim. He lived a suffering, selfdenying lifestyle while here, thatended most cruelly on the cross, for our sake. Beware of falseteachers in sheep’s clothing, which teach “Christ suffered forus, we don’t have to, and all wehave to do is believe”. Christspeaks to the contrary, for DEV-ILS BELIEVES and trembles(James2:17-26), but they WILLNOT OBEY, which takes us intothis study: IF AY MAWILL COME AFTER ME,LET HIM DEY HIMSELF
Matt 16:21 From that time forthbegan Jesus to shew unto hisdisciples, how that he must gounto Jerusalem, and suffer manythings of the elders and chiefpriests and scribes, and bekilled, and be raised again thethird day. 22 Then Peter tookhim, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee,Lord: this shall not be unto thee.23 But he turned, and said untoPeter, Get thee behind me,
Satan: thou art an offence untome: for thou savourest not thethings that be of God, but thosethat be of men. 24 Then saidJesus unto his disciples, If anyman will come after me, let himdeny himself, and take up hiscross, and follow me. 25 Forwhosoever will save his lifeshall lose it: and whosoever willlose his life for my sake shallfind it. 26 For what is a manprofited, if he shall gain thewhole world, and lose his ownsoul? or what shall a man givein exchange for his soul? 27 Forthe Son of man shall come in theglory of his Father with hisangels; and then he shall rewardevery man according to hisworks. Matt 10:32 Whosoever there-fore shall (1)confess me before
men, him will I confess alsobefore my Father which is inheaven. 33 But whosoever shalldeny me before men, him will Ialso deny before my Fatherwhich is in heaven. 34 Think notthat I am come to send peace onearth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am cometo set a man at variance againsthis father, and the daughteragainst her mother, and thedaughter in law against hermother in law. 36 And a man’sfoes shall be they of his ownhousehold. 37 He that lovethfather or mother more than me isnot worthy of me: and he thatloveth son or daughter morethan me is not worthy of me. 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is notworthy of me. 39 He that find-eth his life shall lose it: and hethat loseth his life for my sakeshall find it. And Peter took him,and began to rebuke him. 33 Butwhen he had turned about andlooked on his disciples, herebuked Peter, saying, Get theebehind me, Satan: for thousavourest not the things that beof God, but the things that be ofmen. 34 And when he had calledthe people unto him with his dis-ciples also, he said unto them,Whosoever will come after me,let him deny himself, and takeup his cross, and follow me. 35For whosoever will save his lifeshall lose it; but whosoever shalllose his life for my sake and thegospel’s, the same shall save it.36 For what shall it profit a man,if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Orwhat shall a man give inexchange for his soul? 38Whosoever therefore shall beashamed of me and of my wordsin this adulterous and sinful gen-eration; of him also shall theSon of man be ashamed, whenhe cometh in the glory of hisFather with the holy angels.

Mark 10:17 And when he wasgone forth into the way, therecame one running, and kneeledto him, and asked him, GoodMaster, what shall I do that Imay inherit eternal life? 18And Jesus said unto him, Whycallest thou me good? there isnone good but one, that is, God.19 Thou knowest the command-ments, Do not commit adultery,Do not kill, Do not steal, Do notbear false witness, Defraud not,Honour thy father and mother.20 And he answered and saidunto him, Master, all these haveI observed from my youth. 21Then Jesus beholding him lovedhim, and said unto him, Onething thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, andgive to the poor, and thou shalthave treasure in heaven: andcome, take up the cross, and fol-low me. 22 And he was sad atthat saying, and went awaygrieved: for he had great posses-sions. 23 And Jesus lookedround about, and saith unto hisdisciples, How hardly shall theythat have riches enter into thekingdom of God! 24 And thedisciples were astonished at hiswords. But Jesus answerethagain, and saith unto them,Children, how hard is it for themthat trust in riches to enter intothe kingdom of God! 25 It iseasier for a camel to go throughthe eye of a needle, than for arich man to enter into the king-dom of God.26 And they were astonished outof measure, saying among them-selves, Who then can be saved?27 And Jesus looking upon themsaith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with Godall things are possible. 28 ThenPeter began to say unto him, Lo,we have left all, and have fol-lowed thee. 29 And Jesusanswered and said, Verily I sayunto you, There is no man thathath left house, or brethren, orsisters, or father, or mother, orwife, or children, or lands, formy sake, and the gospel’s, 30But he shall receive an hundred-fold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, andmothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in theworld to come eternal life. 31But many that are first shall belast; and the last first. Dear reader, after reading theseinstructions given by the Lordfor one to be His follower; havewe confessed, (praised) Him byapplying these things to ourlives (true Christians)? Or havewe denied Him by OT deny-ing OURSELVES thereby beingDISOBEDIENT (antichrists)?Remember the purpose of thesearticles is to seek the TRUTHaccording to THE WORD,thereby exposing ERROR,which is false doctrine, for thepurpose of saving our souls. Webelieve this is best done by defi-nitions and the PREPONDER-ANCE OF SCRIPTURES;which is having superior weight, force, importance, or influenceof SCRIPTURE. Again webelieve this allows SCRIPTUREto INTERPRET SCRIPTURE,thereby allowing a better under-standing on that topic.
