December, 2012 at Karachi

The 45th

IEP Convention was held on 21st & 22

nd December, 2012 at Karachi. Engr. Dr. A. Q.Khan, NI & Bar, HI was

the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Session. The Inaugural Session was held on Friday the 21st December, 2012 and

started from recitation of Holy Quran by Engr. Ali Bin Sohail. Engr. Syed Jamshed Rizvi, Chairman, IEP Karachi

Centre presented the welcome address. The Keynote speech was presented by Engr.Dr.Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, Engr.

Sohail Bashir conducted the Inaugural Session. Engr. Zaffar A. Zuberi, President, IEP and Engr. Mian Sultan

Mehmood, Secretary General, IEP also spoke on the occasion. Engr. Ayaz Mirz, Secretary, IEP, Karachi presented

the Vote of Thanks.

Presentation by PN Engineering College Team on ECO SHELL MARATHON was held on 31st March, 2013

The IEP Karachi Centre invited the NUST-PNEC Teams to give presentations on their participation in ECO SHELL MARATHON and Formula Student Competition. These presentations were held on 31 March 2013 at Convention Centre, 5th Floor IEP Building, Karachi. Engr Nooruddin Ahmed, Chairman Think Tank Committee conducted the event. Engr S Jamshed Rizvi, President IEP graced the occasion. Rear Admiral Imdad Imam Jaffri HI (M), Commandant PNS JAUHAR alongwith a number of faculty members participated in the event. Also present were students from NEDUET and members of the engineering community. Both the presentations were very informative and they generated a healthy technical discussion. Engr. S Jamshed Rizvi, President IEP announced a award of Rs. 50, 000.00 for each of the participating teams from NEDUET and PNS JAUHAR. This was done to encourage the engineering students in their projects and to create a liaison between IEP and the Academia.

Technical Presentation on “Karachi: The Planning Delimma”

held on May 25, 2013

The Technical Presentation on “ Planning for Karachi: A Dilemma was delivered by Prof. Dr. Noman Ahmed of

NEDUET on the 5th Floor of IEP Building Convention Centre on Saturday May 25, 2013. The presentation was started

with the recitation of Holy Quran and Engr. Nooruddin Ahmad introduced the guest speaker Dr. Noman who

delivered his presentation. Engr. Zaheer ul Islam Mlaik was present in the audience a lot of relevant questions regarding

the transportation facilities in Karachi were answered by him. IEP Memento was presented along with a Certificate of

Appreciation to Prof. Dr. Noman Ahmed by the Chairman IEP Karachi Centre Engr. Farhat Adil.
