Regarding our ac�on plan PIVOT, we have already released pain management module and hard copies will reach you shortly. The Perinatology wing started func�oning at Thalassery along with SaathSaath program. Paren�ng modules are ge�ng ready. All the dormant branches are revived, thanks to our energetgic and enthusias�c secretary. All 22 branches of our academy are ac�ve now. Let us unite to work together for the be�erment of children's quality of life.

Respected Seniors and my dear IAPians,

Warm gree�ngs from IAP State Office……

It is really an honor to be the State Secretary of a pres�-gious academic body like IAP. For that ma�er, I am thankful to all Iapians of the state especially Dr C Jayakumar, Dr Jose. O, our HSG Dr Remesh Kumar, Dr George F Moolayil, our Na�onal Presidents Dr T. U Sukumaran and Dr S.S. Kammath for mo�va�ng and suppor�ng me. Iapians of Ko�ayam has been always with me for more than 20yrs in the profession.

Dr Santosh M K, our President IAP Kerala 2019, has brought out an excellent ac�on plan with more em-phasis on Paren�ng, Pediatric Procedural Pain man-agement, launching a Perinatology forum for the first �me in the state, vamping the BFHI and improving the health and fitness of our friends. A�er the excellent ac-�on plan VIBGYOR by the team of our past President Dr Kunju and his student and academician Dr Riaz.I as Secretary Dr Santosh has proved that he also has an ex-cellent vision. The short film on epilepsy "Mazhavillu" by Kunju Sir and team has touched 1.9L visitors in the YouTube and his ac�on plan has opened the eyes of many at the Na�onal level making our HSG proud.

This year the Website and Facebook of our associa�on will have a faceli� by our singer Dr Renjith.P. I request all to visit our website to get updated about our programmes. More and more ar�cles will be uploaded once our members started using it.

E-magazine is one of the best and economical method to convey the message to all the members of our state as well as the Na�on.

Dr Vishnu Mohan, Editor IAP today along with Dr Renjith will be releasing monthly newsle�er by 15th

provided our branches send their ac�vi�es before 10th of every month. Only 10-11 branches have given their monthly report and hoping to improve in the coming months. Already four of our branches Cochin, Trivandrum, Pathanamthi�a and Kozhikode has started their quarterly e-magazine. The la�er two has started this year. Congratula�ons to Dr Aby, Dr Jijo, Dr Binu of team Pathanamthi�a and Dr Vishnu, Dr Nihaz and Dr Renjith of team Kozhikode for taking up the ini-�a�ve.

On Dec 9th we had our first well a�ended EBM at IMA Hall, Kochi. We are trying to ac�vate a few dormant branches and bring them to the mainstream. Last year CIAP has been kind enough to sanc�on couple of ToTs and 20 workshops to IAP Kerala which we did with great enthusiasm.

The 2019 team will con�nue to work for the past President's Ac�on Plans like DIET, BLS, Preven�on of Child Abuse and the VIBGYOR. With Dr Narayanan, President Elect 2019 and Dr Jayakumar PR, VP 2019 in front to guide me for the ac�vi�es of Presiden�al Ac�on Plan and Dr Krishna Mohan, Treasurer and Dr Johny Sebas�an, jt Sec to my right and le�, I think I will be able to do some jus�ce to my job.

I request all the IAPians and the office bearers of 22 branches to support the President's Ac�on Plan and ex-ecute in a grand way. My advice to the Secretaries to document all ac�vi�es, prepare a monthly report so as to read minutes during branch level mee�ngs and hold CMEs every month without break.

Dear Seniors, Teachers & my dear family at IAP Kerala,

It gives me immense pleasure to pen this forward for our inaugural e-bulle�n IAP today.

It was a wonderful year in 2018 with the VIBGYOR spreading colours all over the state, truly making the child care scenario excel in all aspects. Let me put on record my whole hearted congratula�ons and thanks to Dr Mohammed Kunju and Dr Riaz.

Into this new Academy year I am sure the new team under the leadership of Dr Santosh and Dr Balachander with the wonderfully cra�ed ac�on plan PIVOT will again raise the standards to a much higher level.

Its heartening to see young vibrant members ins�lling freshness and energy all throughout the state and I believe this is the way forward.

Congratula�ons to the team for coming up with the idea of a monthly e-bulle�n which will help spread our work and ac�vi�es to a be�er extent.

It gives me immense pleasure and pride to write the first editorial note of IAP today the monthly e-bulle�n of IAP Kerala.

Through this bulle�n, we plan to incorporate a review of the ac�vi�es happening all over the state, special columns like Mann ki Baath wherein the queries of the readers are addressed by the presi-dent and secretary, The Leader speaks which will see eminent leader members of our academy speak to the members and subspeciality chapter columns. This will also feature pages devoted to the upcoming events in the academia.

The e-bulle�n will be available on our website and circulated on all our social media pla�orms. This will also be made available to all our respected members through e-mail.

We intend to use this as a media to showcase the extensive work our members are involved in all over the state.
