1INSPIRATION

Writing: The history of writing can be traced back to ancient civilization some-where around 3200 BC when systems of ideographic and/or early mnemonic symbols were used for representation of language through graphic means.The underlining purpose of writing has always been to express oneself, to re-cord moments and to spread information across which can be preserved over a period of time. Whether be it be through drawing Neolithic symbols on the walls of a cave or scribbling scriptures on the shell of a wooden pulp. The most potent invention of all time in the field of writing had been the foun-tain pen. It almost revolutionized the entire world. Even today when we think of a symbol which can represent the essence of writing, fountain pen is the first thing that strikes our mind.

World Wide Web: With the progress in time and the emer-gence of internet technology, the process of assimilation and dissemination of the information became instant. The inven-tion of worldwide web brought the entire world on a single platform and gave an impetus to sharing of information which were now possible at a lightning speed. Blogs became one of the integral part of every netizen’s life in this digital age and become a synonym for daily diary entries.

IMT Logo: IMT stands for Leadership, Innovation, Value, Excellence and this is what the four dots of its logo signify. It aims to contrib-ute to the development of business and society through excellence in grooming leadership, entrepreneurial talent and research.

2CONCEPTUALIZATION

Fountain Pen: The most potent element of a fountain pen is its nib. The breather hole that mounts on the centre of the nib and connects the tip through the slit presents an immaculate amalgamation of functionality with artistry. This becomes the strongest diagnostic cue of the fountain pen. Silhouette of the pen’s nib was taken and a sim-plification procedure was performed. The breather hole and the slit are depicted with a continuous string of varying thickness on a shape which sparsely represents the nib of the fountain pen.

World Wide Web (WWW): It goes without saying that the stron-gest diagnostic cue of World Wide Web is the usage of the word “www” itself. It encapsulates every aspect of the online world. The silhouette of the letter ‘w’ was extracted and drawn in a manner that also signifies the shape of a wave. The wave represents the sound wave that emerges out of a voice and the fluidity of the shape rep-resents boundless freedom of expression which underlines the ulti-mate aim of writing a blog.

IMT Logo: The four dots of IMT logo have been merged into one single dot which represents the essence of the four values for which the logo stands for. This dot also portends to the “dot” of the online world without which the imagination of existence in online world is impossible. The inverted cap over the dot completes the picture of an eye which is a representation of a sensory medium through which IMT interacts with its surrounding environment. It also symbolizes alert-ness and preparedness.

The left half portion of the shape of W is carved out in such a manner that it portrays ‘V’ also. V stands for voice here.
