METHODOLOGY
• Bacterial suspensions containing 106 CFU/ml in a 1,000 ppm CITREX® solution are prepared. Allow to work for 15 and 30 minutes. Both direct and Gram stain smears are prepared. Observations are filmed.
Staphylococcus aureusbefore and after CITREX ® exposure.

Salmonella typhimurium

Gram negative rod destruction is remarkable, together with increased amorphous protein material resulting from bacterial destruction.

DIRECT TECHNIQUE
• Direct tests are performed over a pure organism culture smear (Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans). 400 ppm Citrex® solution drops are added. Reading is practiced after 15 and 30 minutes.
