WE ARE GLAD TO HAVE YOU JOIN US!
MEET OURPASTORS
We would both love to get to know you. Seriously, let’s grab some coffee. We are imperfect people with whacky personalities and goofy tendencies. Whether we disagree about football teams or fast food restaurants, we are serious and passionate about proclaiming to you what God has done for you through His Son, Jesus. Let us know your desires, needs, and passions. God has brought us together and we’re glad that you are here!
Whether you are a lifelong Christian or you are stepping into a church
for the first time, we are glad that you are here at St. Luke’s. We don’t believe that it is by accident that you have been brought through these doors. The God who made you is there for you and has much He wants to show you each and every day.
“ Jesus invites you to “come and see.” It’s worth it.
God has brought us here to serve you, help you, and lead you in the truths of Scripture so that you may have faith in Jesus Christ, who died for you because He loves you. It doesn’t matter how much you know or even what you’ve done. Jesus invites you to “come and see.” It’s worth it.

WHAT WE STAND FORThe Bible is our only authority. It is the only rule and norm for what we believe, teach, and confess. We hold to both the pure truth that God has revealed in Scripture while applying those truths in our specific time and place. Worship is essential for our lives as Christians. It’s what we do! God gives us grace and power through the good gifts of His Word, Baptism, and His Supper. Every member of St. Luke’s can speak the truth of God’s Word and is called to share Jesus with the lost. Sharing Jesus with the lost is what we are all about! Finally, in everything we do, we strive for excellence because we believe that excellence honors God and inspires people.
THE LUTHERAN CHURCH, MISSOURI SYNOD
St. Luke’s is a congregation of the Northwest District of the Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod (LCMS). The LCMS has more than 2.3 million baptized members in more than 6,100 congregations and more than 9,000 pastors. LCMS congregations operate the largest Protestant parochial school system in America.
As Lutherans, we believe we are sinners saved by Christ alone. The teachings of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three short phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.
We believe and teach that the Bible is the inerrant and inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16). The Bible reveals that all of us are separated from God by our sin (Romans 3:10-20), and it also reveals that God became a human being, the Jesus of the Bible, through whom we are forgiven and restored to a right relationship with God (Romans 3:21-28). This good news of forgiveness and reconciliation in Jesus is the Gospel we preach.
WHERE WE ARE GOINGBefore Jesus returned to heaven He told his disciples “go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” We seek to tell others about Jesus. To build relationships with people in many different areas of life. To help people deal with sickness, tragedy, and death. To recognize the God who gives us talent and opportunity. To walk alongside them and to help them know that Christ is “with them always.” We are going wherever God leads! As many of us are part of a family, we seek to raise the next generation as believers in Christ. Teaching kids the Scriptures, and equipping parents to love their kids as God loves us. Use us mightily, Lord!
OUR MISSION
To seek out and bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
OUR METHOD
God is personal and not only longs to walk with us through life, but has given each of us unique gifts and callings. We believe we need each other on this journey and that church is where we discover these things together. Our desire is that you fully realize the person God made you and find the joy and passion of living, loving, and learning in Jesus.
ABOUT US
ST LUKE’S YOU&
YOUNG KIDS
St. Luke’s has a comprehensive plan for spiritual education, designed with developmental and spiritual growth markers. Each year, parents and children engage in new themes and Bible characters. Sunday school is offered for children starting at age three. For worship we offer nursery care for infants through three years of age. We offer kid-oriented events, service projects, and mission trips throughout the year.
YOUTH
Our Ignite youth group, grades 7-12, is a welcoming, thriving, essential part of the ministry of St. Luke’s. Every week we host a Tuesday night youth group for High School (grades 9-12) and a Wednesday night youth group for Middle School (grades 7-8). Our weekends include Bible studies and hangouts. Our youth also take mission trips to Canada, the Bronx, and Alaska.
SMALL GROUPS
Small groups help people connect with other people in significant ways. This is a good way to grow in your relationship with the Lord, to have support and encouragement from the body of Christ, and to enjoy time together. We have a variety of small groups that meet different days and times of the week. For information about small groups, contact the church office.
MEN
Men’s Ministry meets the second Saturday of each month, 7:30 to 9am, year round. Events are designed to build fellowship and encourage one another in our walk with Christ. We are not “Lone Rangers” and need the strength and wisdom of our brothers to help get through some of the challenges and struggles we face as men, husbands, and fathers.
WOMEN
Women meet the firstSaturday of each month, 9-11am, from October to May. Biblical, relational, inspirational, financial, health and fitness are some of the variety of topics presented each month. Our knowlegable speakers challenge us to grow in the Lord and with each other. The year culminates with a Ladies’ Tea. Ladies of all ages are invited to participate in this event where the delicacies and teas rival any “tea shop” in the Puget Sound.
BRIDGES
How can we support families facing the challenges of daily living, help people who are far from their families, or are a broken family and desire role models? Be a Christ-light in the life of a parent or child by building relationships with adults and children, assisting with daily living tasks, providing life skills training, and mentoring parents and children.
WHAT IS A L-TEAM?
People engaging in a Live.Love.Learn. activity where relationships are built and Christ is shared.
Live: Living life as a gift and a calling from God. “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10 ESV) Life is a free gift from God to enjoy and filled with callings, which are to be respected and fulfilled.
Love: Receiving and giving the love of God. “But only faith working through love.” (Gal 5:6 ESV) People have been created to receive God’s unconditional love and share His love with others.
Learn: Learning and sharing the Word of God. “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2Peter 3:18 ESV) Following Christ means constantly increasing knowledge of God’s Word and sharing His Word with others.
