Page 4: Vision Trust Eye Services

• Despite tremendous developments in ophthalmology, access of the poor, here in Pakistan, to Quality Eye Care remains a far cry in this day and age.

Page 5: Vision Trust Eye Services

Woes of middle classThey can not stand in long hallway queuesAre educated and quality consciousNo employer support and no health insuranceCan’t afford private and decent health care facilityCan’t spread handsWoes of those living at or below poverty line is

actually slightly better as all Gov. Hospitals and NGO’s are focused for them

Not quality conscious and have no other choice.

Page 6: Vision Trust Eye Services

• No body likes to pay Taxes so Limited resources

• Defense expenditure• Debt servicing• Little substantial will or means to address

this primary issue• Claims are grossly inadequate to meet

requirements of masses in terms of health care, what to talk of quality.

Page 7: Vision Trust Eye Services

• It was felt by the Trustees, to try and help bridge this gap, on the basis of self help, with a primary focus on woes of middle class with reference to quality eye care.

• Filter benefits to those requiring free of cost treatments.

Page 8: Vision Trust Eye Services

• The Trust would strive to make quality eye care accessible to all sections of the society, starting from middle class of urban populace extending down to the less fortunate.

Page 9: Vision Trust Eye Services

• Task is big, and resources limited, yet we feel our direction is right.
