Drake graduated May 20, 2011 from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, where he earned distinction as an honor graduate. The airman completed an intensive, eight- week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Airman Drake is now completing technical training for crew chief / B-52 aerospace maintenance at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, home of the Air Force’s largest technical training wing. The airman graduated in 2007 from Egg Harbor Township High School and earned his Associate of Science degree from Atlantic Cape Community College in 2010. Trea is a 2004 graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School, and a 2008 graduate of the University of Connecticut. Some of Trea’s notable accomplishments are University of Connecticut PIRG President; State Board Chairman of CONN PIRG; panelist for the Roosevelt Institution Think Tank hosted at Yale University; panelist for the National Campaign for Political and Civic Engagement, hosted by Harvard University’ Institute of Politics. Trea has also testified before the Connecticut State Assembly and subcommittees of The United States Congress as an advocate for fairness in education legislation. While studying at St. John’s, Trea has served as editor for The New York International Law Review, and St. John’s Journal of International and Comparative Law. Trea interned in The New York City Law Department, Queens Torts Division, Jamaica, NY and served as a law clerk for The Honorable Richard G. Latin, New York City Civil Court, Queens, Jamaica, NY.
