It is important to start mentioning the current use of different technologies in education. Nowadays, the new technologies are everywhere and they require an integration of them in different fields. One of those fields is education. It is essential to make changes in education and the inclusion of technology is a priority. Teacher

• GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

• 1. Implement a virtual magazine in which the students include all the relevant information about worldwide cultures given by the teacher in the group 10th Advanced in Jorge Volio Bilingual High School.

• SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

• 1. Design a virtual magazine in which the students investigate all the relevant information such as: facts, literature, art, language, traditional clothing and cuisine, domestic architecture, customs or ways of living, music, religion, festivals, popular media and sports of a specific culture in the group 10th Advanced in Jorge Volio Bilingual High School.

• 2. Apply the general knowledge and the relevant information found in the research related to the foreign culture given by the teacher in order to develop a meaningful learning in the topic in the group 10th Advanced in Jorge Volio Bilingual High School.

• 3. Assess the effectiveness of the virtual magazine in the students’ learning process in the group 10th Advanced in Jorge Volio Bilingual High School.

It is important to start mentioning the current use of different technologies in education. Nowadays, the new technologies are everywhere and they require an integration of them in different fields. . Basically, the need for this project is to present a creative way to work the topic “CULTURES AROUND THE WORLD”

• In the past, learning and education was only about reading books or completing handouts, and the teacher only used the board to teach. Nowadays, technology has become an essential part of the classroom.

• Education has gone from passive to interactive due to the technological advances and to the findings in education.

• There is no necessity of a budget because teachers and students are going to have all the materials they need. For the virtual magazine, students will not need extra materials besides the ones provided by the high school. The most important resource that students will need is the equipment. They will need computers with access to Internet.

chart to encourage their creative sense; creating their first sample in PowerPoint Office using extra virtual tools, useful for the structure. (e.g. (https://kuler.adobe.com)

• 2. Second Season: Make up Season.

• Teacher will ask for a research in the field

• Students will apply interviews, reports, lectures, or any kind

of reliable information trying to develop more than one

section in the field, considering cover page, index, content,

back page, and references.

• Although the content is not the 100% of the evaluation,

credits and honors must be included to avoid plagiarism

during the process.

• Students finally will mix content and design in an ordinary

PowerPoint presentation.

• At last, students will log in a blog website.

• 3. Third Season: First Sample exposition.

• After student upload their final project to

issuu.com, they will present it to the audience in

a magazine format.

• The exposition should response to the title and

the chosen topic, being clear, precise, and

attractive.

• Students will hand in evaluating papers to the

audience.

4. Forth season: Virtual Comments

• Students will attach the magazine link

(given by issuu.com in the upload) in the

blog.

• Each student must respectfully comment

each project using key vocabulary in order

to apply the new knowledge presented.

• 5. Fifth season: Grading

• Teacher will consider the final

project and their comments in

other products to give a final

grade to the student.
