This manual will explain how to setup Virtual Cockpit for DCS.

In this manual I’m using DCS A-10C module but it’s the same way to setup Mirage

2000C, AV-8B or F/A-18C.

The Virtual Cockpit server has automatic update check, please be always updated.

Also please always update an iPad App.For any question you contact us over the web site: simvc

1. Install DCS World simulator here

2. Install DCS World modules

a. DCS: Mirage 2000C by RAZBAM here

b. DCS: A-10C Warthog herec. DCS: AV-8B here

d. DCS F/A-18C here

3. Install Bonjour Service here

4. Install Java SE x86 here

5. Download and Install Virtual Cockpit Server here

6. Download and Install iPad application

a. VC M2000C here

b. VC A-10C here

c. VC AV-8B here

P1. Please run the Virtual Cockpit Server (as Administrator)

2. You will see the popup that asks to setup path to the DCS World directory

3. Press Select Folder

P4. After setup game folder will appear popup for setup Saved Games/DCS folder

5. Press Select Folder

P6. After DCS World and Saved Game setup finish the Server will ask you to setup

screen size

7. Press OK. See PART 3 for screen setup

PIf you want change the game directory of Saved Games directory, you can do so

over Settings menu of the server

I’m using it for changing between DCS World

2.0 and DCS World 1.5

If you change the game you must proceed

injection and screen setup from the

beginning. It can be done also over Settings

menu.

P1. When you enter screen setup you will see the next view: (for this example I’m

using 2 monitors)

Each image of this screen (Cockpit, LMFCD, RMFCD, CDU) responsible for size of it’s

export from the game. You have two ways to resize or change position, the first one

is by using your mouse. You can simple resize or move it on the screen.

PThe second way is by clicking with mouse right button and choosing Set positions of

view

You also may to turn of specific display (CDU, MFCD) by clicking on it in the menu

In this example I’m not using the whole second screen. I’ll use it for showing some

mission pdf’s or manuals.

P5. After code injection you must to see the window of Virtual Cockpit Server with 4

The server will automatically detects installed modules, you can change it

from Modules selection box.

1. While server is running please open an app on your iPad

2. An iPad must automatically detect the server and you will see Connected label

at right bottom corner

3. Try to move any switch in the app and look on the server window, the

“Connected to the iPad” square must become green

** If for some reason it’s not happen please go to the PART 5 of this manual

4. Please start the DCS World game (in my case its DCS World 2.0)

5. Go to the settings and check current monitor setup profile

** M2000CScreen – Mirage module** AV8BScreen – AV-8 module

** FA18CScreen – F/A-18C module

6. Choose some mission and run it

7. After the mission is up the “Connected to the game” square must became green

** If for some reason it’s not happen please go to the PART 5 of this manual

8. On the iPad you must see two MFCD’s and CDU screens

If you interact with switches it must influent the game

S1. If you receive any error while injection process please check if you put right path

to folders or try to run the server as admin.

2. Turn off or add the Virtual Cockpit Server and its ports to exclusion in your firewall.

3. Open next ports 22269, 22275, 22276, 22277, 22278, 22279, 22288, 22289, 22299 in

your router.4. If for some reason after script injecting your DCS World is crashing, please go to

the Saved Games/DCS/Config folder and rename the options.lua.bakk to the

options.lua with replace. Please contact us for solving this problem simvc.

5. You may not worry the Virtual Cockpit Server or iPad app DO NOT sending

anything out of you local network. You may check it with netstat command over

CMD. (For those of you that know how to use CMD).

Most common problems:

If non of those points not help, please check next:

1. In the Saved Games/DCS/Scripts exists Export.lua, the last row must be one of:

a. dofile(".\\VCSServer\\Main.lua")

b. dofile(".\\VCSServer\\M2000C.lua")

c. dofile(".\\VCSServer\\AV8BNA.lua")

d. dofile(".\\VCSServer\\FA18C.lua")

Depends of module you are using.

S2. Go to the DCS game folder and check if there is a VCSServer folder with content:

DO NOT EDIT THOSE FILES!!!!!!
