INTRODUCTION Wounds are a serious public health problem due to the high number of individuals with changes in the integrity of the skin, although records of these visits are scarce. In addition, the growing number of people with chronic wounds permeates high public spending, and directly affect the quality of life of this population. Thus, the growing demand from patients with wounds, requiring treatment, challenges the nursing team that takes as a strategy, the autonomy of the patient and his family for the self-care of his wound. These patients, in turn, for not having the necessary knowledge for a procedure so complex as a dressing, are at risk of consequent complications (SANTOS, et al., 2017; MATTOS, et al., 2013). In this scenario, the development of a chatbot or intelligent assistant that will help the patient to answer questions about wound care and allow quality care is necessary since it will provide the user with a 24-hour assistant. GOAL The proposed study aims to develop an application of virtual assistant (Botcurativo) in order to provide guidance on the application of dressings in the home environment.

METODOLOGIA

RESULTS

CONCLUSION This study is in the development phase of virtual assistant and made it possible to describe the stages of the development of an intelligent conversation assistant for the treatment of acute or chronic wounds. The use of this virtual assistant will be of great use in caring for wounds and performing dressings at home.

Virtual Assistant for Home Wound Care based on artificial intelligence

Accordingly, with the color of his wound, the patient had received the appropriate guidelines for the treatment of the wound. To enable the prescription of coverage, the “Red, Yellow and Black” - RYB system was used, based on the characteristics of the color of the tissue present in the wound bed and the type of exudate.

Figure 1: Flowchart in the development process

• In the development of botcurativo, natural language processing was used to understand dialogues in text with an artificial intelligence algorithm.

As preliminary results of this research, a flowchart of care information was developed to provide guidance on the application of dressings in the home environment and the first prototype of the virtual assistant was also developed. The prototype screens of the virtual assistant (Botcurativo)can be visualized in the figure 3.
