Dr. James Worsley, Direc- tor; Phil Innis, Assistant Director; Bob Smet, Finance Director; Stuart Con- nock, Assistant Director of Parks Planning, Design and Construction and other representatives from Ches- terfield County attended. From the fundamentals of good government to forecasting the future, the agenda had critical information for every par- ticipant’s personal and professional development. The speaker lineup was second to none with nationally- known leaders and local subject mat- ter experts who describe the chal- lenges in serving the public while de- tailing pragmatic solutions. A Roadmap for Success: Building World Class Teams Innovation in a Transparent World High Performance Government – Case Studies on Effective Programs World Class Customer Service Innovations in Managing Spend- ing Chesterfield County had a strong representation last year and encourages others to consider attending. Huguenot Road Baptist Church luncheon

Over 100 older adults , 50+, en-joyed music and lunch at Huguenot Road Baptist Church Wednesday, Oct. 18. Lunch was provided by The Laurels of Willow Creek and Bill Parrish entertained the crowd.

Henricus hosted another beauti-ful wedding on October 14. The couple said “I do” inside the recreated 17th-century church and spent the rest of the even-ing celebrating on the bluff overlooking the mighty James River.

Wedding time!

Two new events have been add-ed to our calendar for Novem-ber! On the 17th, Common-wealth Researchers of the Para-normal will be hosting their last paranormal investigation of the year at Henricus. Wort-Cunning and Star-Craft: An Herbal Reme-dies Course for Beginners will take place on the 18th. During this two-hour workshop stu-dents will learn about both his-toric and modern herbalism through hands-on activities. For more information, please visit our website at www.henricus.org.

Family Backpacking - “Mommy and Me”

For over 20 years, Parks and Recreation has held a "Mommy and Me" Family Backpacking program for mothers and chil-dren aged 5-10. Last weekend, Oct. 14-15, was a beautiful weekend for an overnight trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Campers enjoyed a wilderness backpacking experience in a positive, natural environment.
