Last week, over 80 Years 4 & 5 students from Vincentia, Sussex Inlet, Jervis Bay, Huskisson, St Georges Basin, Tomerong and Sanctuary Point public schools attended a ‘Taste of High School’ day at our school. The students were divided into groups and were given a taste of some of the subjects that they will be studying next year, including Food Technology, Visual Arts, Music and Physical Education. Throughout the day the enthusiastic students cooked a yummy ham and cheese pastry, channelled their creative side by designing an individual photograph, received a master class on the different types of musical instruments and undertook some physical activity in the school hall. By the end of the day the primary school students had made some new friends and had a better understanding of what great things await them in Year 7. Thanks to Ms Morris, Ms Roxby, Mr Newton, Mr Ryan, Ms Codey, Mr Donohue and the Vincentia High School students who made this day such a success.
